A child’s favorite in China, 6-year-old Bean lives with his grandpa in the countryside, one day, Bean catches a small hedgehog, and he likes it so much he takes it to grandpa who feeds it melon. Soon the little hedgehog runs away, and Bean becomes very sad. However, the small hedgehog runs to an African child called Lumon and a European child named Tingka, who are visiting China with their parents while they study medicine in China. The three young friends form a great friendship around this magical hedgehog.
