00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. Now today's video is all about
00:04Valentine's Day and as a single man I thought that a great idea would be to
00:08try and show you what a day sort of sort of self-love and self-care could look
00:12like on Valentine's Day. So I spoke to ChatGPT to try and give me a couple of
00:16things that you could do to fill your time and here's what it said. Now the
00:20first thing was getting a coffee. The place that is suggested is actually now
00:23closed but fortunately by good circumstance one of my favorite coffee
00:27shops in Manchester is just around the corner from Manchester Art Gallery which
00:30was the second suggestion and that coffee shop is 200 degrees. Now not only
00:35is this a great cafe with really really good coffee and a great range of food
00:40and snacks as well but it's also a barista school so it's a place where
00:44people will go to learn about the intricacies of making coffee and as a
00:48result you end up getting a great cup time after time. Now the purpose of this
00:52little task is to be able to sit down take some time for yourself have a
00:56little treat a little sweet treat I got a cinnamon bun there and then either
00:59read or play on your phone and basically just take the time to self-reflect and
01:03unwind. We know that life can be stressful and so one of the most
01:06important things is just taking a time when you get a chance to relax. The
01:11coffee shop itself is great as I say the staff are consistently friendly the
01:15snacks are great the coffee is always always good and it's a great place to
01:18spend an hour or so and that's exactly what I did and on this little schedule
01:23that we're on is a perfect location too because it is literally just next door
01:27to Manchester's art gallery. Now the gallery itself is completely free to
01:32enter which is one of the great things about it it does accept donations right
01:36at the entrance so it's worth sticking a couple of quid in just to make sure that
01:39they can maintain it but you've got a ton of great things to do in there
01:43there's a child's room and a sort of a family room where kids are encouraged to
01:46sit down and create a little bit of art with a little ping-pong table there too
01:50but obviously the main event is the art that you see there's a great portrait of
01:54a lion there's tons and tons of different gallery rooms showing off
01:57different kinds of art and again it's the perfect place for self-reflection
02:02relaxing a little bit taking your time wandering around and learning about
02:05something new. The architecture of the building is magnificent and it really is
02:10the perfect place to spend a couple of hours really. After the museum though it's
02:15time again for another little sit down and this time we're gonna head up to the
02:18Smithfield social and I just want to talk quickly about the purpose of this
02:21video because we know that Valentine's Day can be very very easy to be caught
02:25up in you know seeing friends go out on dates and have big fancy presents and it
02:30can be quite isolating for single people but it doesn't have to be. If Valentine's
02:34Day is all about love why not make it about self-love take yourself to places
02:38that you enjoy and treat yourself to a nice relaxing day. The Smithfield social
02:42was next and it's a perfect place to get a little sort of reasonably priced pint
02:46and relax in a really nice calm atmosphere. It's got great big windows
02:50for people watching and it was the perfect end to my day of self-care and
02:54self-love. So happy Valentine's Day everyone follow Manchester World for
