01:00Now we begin with the news, stay with us.
01:16U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to BRICS member countries aimed at
01:21efforts to reduce their dependence on the U.S. dollar in international trade.
01:26In a publication on the social network Truth Social, the U.S. President assured that he
01:32would not allow the creation of an alternative currency or the backing of currencies that
01:37challenge the supremacy of the dollar, threatening to impose 100% tariff on members of the BRICS
01:43and exclude them from U.S. market if they proceed in their attempts.
01:48Since 2023, the BRICS has been discussing the possibility of creating a common currency
01:53backed by commodities, an initiative that although still at a theoretical stage is causing
02:00concern in sectors of U.S. politics.
02:09In response to the threat issued by U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin
02:15reiterated that the BRICS are not discussing the creation of a common currency, but rather
02:21they are talking about new investment platforms.
02:24Putin further clarified that the objective of the new investment platform is to allow
02:30joint investments in third countries.
02:33He also advised U.S. experts to explain in more detail the BRICS agenda to President
02:38Trump.
02:39The Russian leader stressed that the BRICS are neither fighting against the dollar nor
02:44abandoning it.
02:45He points out that countries that are not allowed to work with the U.S. currency need
02:49to look for alternatives.
02:59A preliminary report by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration on the net lead amid the coalition
03:04between an American airline, a military helicopter and a Wednesday suggests that aviation safety
03:10procedures might have failed.
03:13According to the report, the helicopter was flying outside its approved path at the moment
03:18of the collision.
03:20The document also stated that the pilots of the passenger jet most likely did not see
03:25the helicopter as they made a turn towards the runway and that the traffic controller
03:33was performing two jobs at the same time and was unable to keep the helicopter and the
03:38plane separate.
03:40Pilots or traffic controllers and safety experts have reportedly been warning for years about
03:46growing holes in the aviation systems that could lead to the kind of crash that occurred
03:52on Wednesday where 67 people lost their lives.
04:04The U.S. government ordered on Thursday the freezing of federal aid funds earmarked for
04:09NGOs dedicated to assist migrants.
04:12According to a document published by the Department of Homeland Security, the agency expressed
04:17concern about the use of government funds, alluding to the possibility that they might
04:23be used to promote and induce illegal immigration.
04:27The directive instructs the department staff to review all NGOs detailing with migration
04:36and investigate what money is being used for illegal purposes.
04:41As a matter of fact, local authorities have pursued NGOs serving migrants in U.S. border
04:47cities.
04:48Leading German politicians' areas calling for mass deportations of migrants in the country
05:01echoing U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to expel undocumented aliens.
05:07The migrant issue is emerging as the number one priority for German voters ahead of elections
05:14next month, while nation's Chancellor and Foreign Minister Frederick Schumer has pushed
05:21a non-binding parliamentary motion to create a crackdown on illegal aliens.

14:13The president of Panama, JosĂ© RaĂșl Molina, ruled out negotiations on the Panama Canal
14:18with the U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, who will arrive in the country on the weekend.
14:23During his weekly conference, the president informed about the arrival of a U.S. diplomat
14:28on Saturday night and a meeting to be held with him on Sunday morning.
14:33Molina pointed out that there was no definitive agenda yet, but retreat, data control and
14:39administration of the channel is non-negotiable and will not be part of the talks.
14:44The Palestinian, the Panamanian president, my partner, stressed that there were other
14:49issues to discuss by both governments, such as irregular migration, organized crimes,
14:54human laundry and drug trafficking, whose main market is in the U.S.
15:13I cannot negotiate and much less open a negotiation process on the canal that is settled.
15:18The canal belongs to Panama.
15:20We have common issues.
15:21And of course, we can agree on many things.
15:24I have already mentioned migration, drug trafficking, money laundering, organized crime, and the
15:29increase in the export of drugs that pass through our waters to the United States.
15:33Also, in Panama, activists protest in the capital ahead of the upcoming visit of U.S.
15:42Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
15:44Students and political organization protest against the arrival of the head of U.S. diplomacy,
15:50who plans to address the agenda of President Trump, who seeks to rise control of the Panama
15:56Canal from the Central American country.
15:58During the day, patriotic collectives took part in a flood of planting in the Gardena
16:04and near the Panamanian Canal administration building.
16:07The peaceful demonstration was accompanied by slogans in defense of national sovereignty.
16:20We will definitely not give an inch of our sovereignty, our independence, our autonomy
16:25to decide with whom Panama can and should negotiate the transit of the Panama Canal.
16:32We will not give an inch, because really this is a step backwards in the history of our
16:37struggle to conquer our space, our land, our country.
16:42And it does not do justice to all the bloodshed, nor to our interests as a nation.
16:49In Mexico, President Claudio Chamberlain sent a request to the multinational technology
16:53company Google to create the name of the area that is currently called the Gulf of America
16:59at the behest of the Trump administration.
17:01In a letter to Google's chief executive officer, Sundar Pichai, the Mexican government urged
17:09the company to rectify the name of Gulf of Mexico in its Google Maps application, stressing
17:15its widely documented historical origin.
17:19The letter also mentions the existence of 12 bilateral treaties in force, which states
17:25that the name of Gulf of Mexico recognizes international legal order and therefore its
17:31validation in the legal framework of both countries.
17:35Faced with the controversy, the company specified that a change to its map would only be available
17:42to users accessing search engines from the United States.
17:56We are sending a letter to Google, first to tell them, well, I guess Google Maps knows
18:02this international division.
18:05It should also know which is the body that names the international seas.
18:13And changing topics, in Venezuela, Manuela, a theatrical piece that invites to note and
18:23value the history of Manuela Sanz, who fought for freedom and justice in Latin America,
18:28was premiered on January the 30th.
18:31Created by the Amaca Colectiva and with the dramaturgies by Indira Arbio-Livo, the theater
18:40performance explores the last years of Sanz's life, highlighting her legacy.
18:45Under the direction of Marcela Lunar, the play, which premiered on January the 30th
18:52at the Antonieta Cullen Hall of the Berk Central Cultural Center in Caracas, reflects on the
18:58life and memory of its iconic figure as a revolutionary and a woman who defied the social
19:04norms of her time.
19:06It aims to rescue her legacy, highlighting her crucial role in the struggle for independence
19:12and her courage in facing adversity in a male-dominated world.
19:24And an exhibition in Iran entitled, Key Older Than Israel, by photographer Wahad Ramezi,
19:32represents the daily life of Palestinians and their hope of returning home.
19:36Ramezi, who visited several refugee camps in southern Lebanon, captured the reality
19:42of the displaced Palestinians through a 7D photograph that tells the story of their resistance.
19:49The exhibition is divided into four sectors, displacement, resistance, life, and return.
19:55It also reflects the experiences of several generations of Palestinians.
19:59This initiative seeks to offer an alternative perspective on the Palestinian situation,
20:05opposing the narrative of the Zionist regime and highlighting the struggle for freedom
20:08of the Palestinian people.
