00:00The House of Representatives has lost one of its most distinguished legislators and
00:04statesmen and is honoring him with a half-masked flying flag and a list of in-house activities
00:10to pay their last respects.
00:13Tabaco Albay Representative Edsel Agman has earned the respect and admiration of his peers
00:19for his work, the RH law and the abolition of capital punishment, his sharp wit, eloquence
00:25and the way he conducted himself in working with others as our Melales Moras has more.
00:56Mayor Cristel Lagman, the veteran lawmaker, died yesterday due to cardiac arrest at the
01:01age of 82.
01:04On behalf of the House of Representatives, Speaker Martin Romualdez extended his deepest
01:08condolences to Lagman's bereaved family and friends.
01:12Romualdez said they are deeply saddened by what happened as Congressman Lagman was more
01:17than a colleague.
01:18He was a passionate and fearless legislator whose presence in the lower house commanded
01:23respect.
01:24As a fellow Bicolano lawmaker, Albay's 2nd District Representative Joey Salceda also
01:29paid tribute to the late congressman.
01:32Lagman served as the president of the Liberal Party, which is also mourning the passing
01:36of their leader.
01:38They expressed their deep gratitude to Lagman along with a wish he remains a guiding light
01:43for the entire group.
01:45In the coming days, the House of Representatives is set to hold a necrological service for
01:49Congressman Lagman.
