00:00The engineering project is a very complex project, complex because we are in the middle of the city, with the buildings very close, the buildings of our neighbors and the same hospital, which must continue to function during this construction.
00:24So already starting from the demolition phase, we had to use demolition techniques that are not the most common, but they are real deconstructions of the building.
00:35And now that we will go down to the excavation and foundation phases, we must always maintain a high level of attention and monitoring of the surrounding environment in relation to the production of dust, vibrations, especially to allow the rest of the hospital to continue to function and ensure safe care for our small patients.
01:00To do this, from the beginning we wanted the project to be developed with the BIM methodology. BIM stands for Building Information Modeling, that is, it is about making a real digital twin of the project.
01:18The digital project consists of ensuring that each object that is no longer designed, but modeled, carries with it its own characteristics. So a door is not two lines drawn on a sheet of paper, but it is an object that informally knows to be a door.
01:39And the wall that stands next to it knows to be a wall, and therefore the door knows to belong to that wall. That wall will be called the first floor wall of pavilion 0, and the door will be the first door of the first floor wall of pavilion 0.
01:56And so this allows us to model the building in an extremely refined way during the design phase. This is especially true for the entire plant area. A hospital is made up of 70% of plants. Operating rooms and intensive care units have a preponderance of the plant area, so that the construction takes place very quickly.
02:24Because we can also simulate the times with which each of these parts of the hospital is put into operation, and therefore understand first what the sequence is, where there will be interferences to be resolved in advance, and then reach the goal, that is, to complete the hospital by June 30, 2026, with as few problems as possible.
