00:00Tens of thousands of South Korean protestors took to the streets of central Seoul on Saturday,
00:07following the end of the Lunar New Year holiday.
00:10The two groups of protestors rallied to make their voices heard.
00:14Over 30,000 supporters of impeached President Yun Suk-yol demanded his immediate release,
00:19saying that his detention is illegal.
00:21Meanwhile, across Gwanghwamun Square, around 5,000 anti-government protestors rallied for
00:27President Yun's removal from office.
00:57South Korea's prosecutors indicted Yun on January 26,
01:26accusing him of leading an insurrection through his brief imposition of martial law on Dec. 3.
01:32The charges are unprecedented for a South Korean president, and if convicted, Yun could
01:37face years in prison.
01:40His actions sparked political turmoil, resulting in the prime minister's suspension and the
01:45indictment of several military officials over the alleged insurrection.
