00:00It's been amazing watching Pesto grow up over the last year.
00:03He's got a wonderful personality, he's gentle, he's sweet and he's integrated really well into the wider colony.
00:11Hi, my name is Charlotte, I'm part of the penguin team here at SeaLife Melbourne Aquarium
00:15and we are kicking off Pesto's first birthday with a party fit for a king.
00:19Pesto's still pretty easy to spot despite the fact that he's lost that kind of iconic brown fluffy feathering.
00:26He's a big boy, he's almost as big as his dad Blake.
00:29So he stands out just because he's a little bit taller than the rest of the colony.
00:33He also has his own wing band which identifies him specifically, which I believe is black, brown and orange.
00:40So you can look out for those colours to pick him out from the crowd.
00:43So we've got loads of really special and exciting activities for Pesto over the weekend.
00:47We've got lots of enrichment going on for him, additional to what we would usually do.
00:51He's a really big fan of bubbles, so we'll have lots of bubbles for him.
00:54We've made him a special ice and jelly cake that's full of fish.
00:57So once he gets stuck into that he's going to have an extra treat.
