00:00How does it feel to be back here at the Grammys tonight?
00:02It feels amazing, you know, especially during this time period where community is needed,
00:06you know what I mean?
00:07And being here, I feel like we're all here, not just for the Grammys, but for a cause
00:12and to lift up L.A., you know what I mean?
00:14It's not the time to run from L.A., it's the time to be here and help and be a light and,
00:18you know, do what you can.
00:19So I'm really happy to be here.
00:21How do you hope the show lifts up L.A. tonight with these performances they have planned
00:24and just how it's, you know, raising money for fire relief in general?
00:28Yeah, I think it's great.
00:29I think this is a great time to keep it.
00:31I know a lot of people are like, you should postpone it and all this stuff, but it's like,
00:34people need money now.
00:35They need help now.
00:36So this is the time to do it now.
00:37The earlier you can do it, the quicker somebody can get help.
00:40And why not use the most watched thing on TV to do that, you know what I mean?
00:45So I think it's great.
00:47I think it's great.
00:48And all of us are in one room, all the artists, all the performers, and everybody are in one
00:51room.
00:52And at that point, you can kind of figure things out too.
00:55I've heard people already talking, hey, you want to do a fundraiser next week?
00:59Let's do this.
01:00Let's do that.
01:01So we're all in here trying to help.
01:02Yeah.
01:03It makes sense why it's one of the most watched things on TV, because there are so many big
01:07name nominees.
01:08Absolutely.
01:09And tonight, Album of the Year is probably going to be the moment of the night.
01:12Everybody's wondering who's going to win.
01:13I hate to put you on the spot, but who's your pick for Album of the Year?
01:16I want Beyonce to win it.
01:18She deserves it.
01:19She's never won it.
01:20And she's been at this for a very, very long time.
01:23And nobody deserves that like her, like she does.
01:25I'm not just saying that because we went to high school together.
01:28But in real life, she deserves it.
01:35I need to hear more about that.
01:36So you've been there since the beginning, literally.
01:38From the very beginning, yes.
01:40I was there when she was in a group called Girls' Time.
01:42That was before Destiny's Child.
01:44So yeah, I've been through the whole thing.
01:46That's my little sis.
01:47I love that.
01:48Are you still in contact with her?
01:49I mean, I don't talk to her all the time.
01:51I don't even have her number.
01:53But I saw her last year at the Grammys.
01:55You know what I mean?
01:56And we got a chance to talk for a second.
01:57You know, obviously, she was swarmed.
01:58You know what I mean?
01:59But I said one thing that she knows.
02:01And while everything was swarmed, she looked over.
02:03I said it.
02:04She went, Robert!
02:05I was like, oh, yeah, you remember.
02:08She's still such a great person.
02:10I understand where she is right now.
02:11You know what I mean?
02:12So it's just amazing.
02:13So I hope she wins it.
02:14I love that.
02:15I feel like that's one of those things where, just like a kismet thing, where it feels like
02:18greatness finds greatness and the people rise up together.
02:22Absolutely.
02:23For sure.
02:24Yeah.
02:25For you, who's a...
02:26I mean, obviously, Beyonce, an amazing artist, but who's a Grammy-nominated artist that you'd
02:29love to collaborate with in the future, if you could?
02:32Willow.
02:33I love Willow Smith.
02:35She's really dope, young, but she has a really old soul and really loves music and really
02:41just really dives in and still wants... she really wants to learn.
02:44She's not just using, you know, her platform or her celebrity to just be like, I want to
02:47do this.
02:48She learns things and really... you know what I mean?
02:50She's really two feet planted in it.
02:53And I think creatively, we could come up with some cool stuff together.
02:55So I would love that.
02:56I love that.
02:57A young artist.
02:58Are there any other young, up-and-coming artists that you've had your eye on?
03:02I like Dolce.
03:04I think she's dope.
03:05I think she's dope.
03:06I'm really proud of her.
03:07I've never met her, but I think she's dope.
03:09That's another person I would love to collaborate with.
03:10But I like watching her from afar right now, let her do her thing.
