00:00So if you could just introduce yourself and tell me a bit about the award.

00:03So my name's Courtney, I'm a General Manager of Sorbet Lounge and we've recently awarded the

00:09Breastfeeding Awareness Safe Space Award. We're a very family focused pub and because of that we

00:15make sure people with babies and who are breastfeeding feel very comfortable here. Our

00:20staff members are all trained to make sure if they see a lady breastfeeding we'll go offer support,

00:25if they need table service, if they need an extra glass of water. There's no segregation here,

00:30they can feel comfortable breastfeeding anywhere they like, there's no judgment,

00:35it's completely natural and we want to make sure we empower women to do that.

00:39We've got a lot of mums working here, over 50% of our staff are mums. We've all breastfed,

00:45we've pumped, we've done it all and so we don't really want people to feel shame or embarrassed

00:49about coming out into the space. So that's really what we're doing here, we're just trying to make

00:53people feel more comfortable to get out of the house in a time that is very needed for you to

00:59get out of the house, socialise and meet people and have a normal conversation.
