00:00On the last week of the session, before the camera was adjourned,

00:04the House Secretary-General said that the three impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte are now in action.

00:11Tina Panganiban Perez was on the spot.

00:16On Friday, the rallies led by thousands of rallyists were held,

00:21asking the Congress to proceed with the impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:27Now, the House Secretary-General Reginald Velasco said that it is now in action,

00:32and that it will be brought to the House Speaker's office.

00:36We will act on it this week.

00:37Sir, how many self-imposed deadlines are there?

00:40Well, this week is the deadline.

00:43Last December, three complaints were filed,

00:47and Velasco has been holding them for several weeks,

00:50because he is still waiting for the fourth impeachment complaint.

00:54The issue of impeachment is now in effect,

00:56because this is the last session of the Congress,

00:59before it is adjourned for the campaign in the election of 2025.

01:04The next session is on June 2 to June 13, 2025.

01:09When the term of the current Congress ends in June,

01:13a new impeachment complaint needs to be filed,

01:16if it is still desired to be filed by the newly elected Congressmen.

01:21They're looking for the pass-track process,

01:25which will override all these requirements.

01:30Once they file with 103 or more congressmen,

01:35it will go straight to the plenary and then to the Senate.

01:42that he is not in favor of the impeachment of VP Sara,

01:45because the time of the Congress will be wasted for this.
