00:25Hello, ambulance please.
00:27Ambulance service, is the patient breathing?
00:29No, no, he's sort of breathing strangely, he's gasping.
00:34What is the address of the emergency?
00:36Erm, it's near the Ayrshire Farm shop, we're outside, we're on the footpath.
00:43Okay, tell me exactly what happened.
00:45We were just walking, he was just talking to me and then he just collapsed, he just keeled over, he's on the floor, I can't get him up.
00:52I'm organising help for you now, stay on the line, I'll tell you exactly what to do next.
00:57Listen carefully, lay them flat on their back on the floor and remove anything under their head.
01:02Listen carefully and I'll tell you how to do chest compressions.
01:06Place the heel of your hand on the breastbone, right between the nipples, and your other hand on top of that hand.
01:13Pump the chest hard and fast, at least twice per second and two inches deep.
01:18Let the chest come all the way up between pumps. We're going to do this until help can take over.
01:23Count out loud so I can count with you.
01:26Okay, start counting out loud now.

02:34Put the defibrillator on the floor next to their head, on the side closest to you.
02:46Open the packet of pads, peel off the backing and apply the pads to their bare chest as shown.
02:52The machine will tell you what to do. Follow its instructions. Tell me what you're doing so I'll know how it's going.
