00:00The mystery of the water levels here at Lake Ginninderra continues.
00:05I've been receiving reports that the water levels began to drop as early as last weekend
00:10and have dropped significantly over the last 24 hours or so.
00:15Now although it's been hot, it can't just be due to evaporation.
00:19Just downstream of here is Ginninderra Falls
00:23and it's there that Netflix are currently filming.
00:27Now they want as bare gush of water as possible to come over the falls
00:30because the more water, the more dramatic the scene.
00:33And apparently they've been a little bit upset that because of recent dry conditions
00:37there's not much water going over the falls.
00:40So it seems that perhaps ACT government has stepped in and helped out
00:44by letting some water flow downstream on one or more occasions
00:49sometime over the last few days.
00:52One thing is for sure, if we get a storm over the next day or two
00:57it will help both the fish here in the lake
00:59and of course those producers of the Netflix production.
01:04Now just as a scientific marker, I've placed my little Aussie flag over there
01:10on the water's edge currently this afternoon
01:13and I'll check back maybe tomorrow to see if water levels have increased or decreased.
