00:00The Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Republic Act 12009 or the new Government Procurement Act or NGPA has been officially approved.
00:09According to the Department of Budget and Management, the IRR will serve as a guide in implementing the new law on purchasing for the improvement and foundation of the system of each government agency.
00:21Explained by DBM Secretary Amena Pangandaman, the continuous implementation of effective reform in procurement is showing a high level of supervision in the public service.
00:31The new law is also aimed at improving the value of money, making purchasing more effective, and improving the quality of the public service through innovative technology and system.
00:42GPP-BTSO officials from DBM, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of National Defense, and Department of Education also joined the GPP-BTSO.
