00:00My work is somehow rooted in technology, I like to explore how technology is changing
00:25the way we look at the world.
00:27And I somehow explore several traditions, several historical, both pictorials, cultural
00:34traditions in which I tend to go back.
00:37So you could say that my work also is some kind of tension and relationships between
00:41past, present and future.
00:46Well, Davide is an artist that has inspired his entire career in nature, as Gaudi did.
00:57As you can see in the building behind me, it's an inspiration of nature that has grown
01:04building, and Davide emerged this specific topic and we thought he was the perfect artist
01:12to do this 2025 mapping.
01:21So one thing that really struck me about Gaudi's work is that his architectures, they don't
01:26really look like they're designed and constructed like any other building, it really feels that
01:31something is sort of grown out of a natural process almost.
01:35So to me the tree is this kind of symbol, this sort of analogy to something that, it's
01:44a sort of symbol of organic growth in a way, of complexity, it becomes a kind of symbol
01:49for the inspiration that I think drove Gaudi into building the house.
01:55So I wanted to make a piece that of course celebrates the geometry of the facade, but
02:00at the same time could take the sort of audience beyond that, and I wanted to kind of really
02:06create a link between Gaudi and his inspirations in a way, and how nature ultimately can be
02:15this kind of universal, infinite inspirations across generations, across technologies, across
02:21languages.
02:26So it's not really something that it's there just to celebrate the facade, the facade doesn't
02:32even need further celebration, it's already great, I think this is more to, as a vehicle
02:38to do something new, to perhaps inspire on some of the ideas that generated this work
02:44in the first place.
