ಖರ್ಗೆ ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ದಿವಂಗತ ಕವಿ ನೀರಜ್ ಜಿ ಅವರ ಕಾವ್ಯದ ಕೆಲವು ಸಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೋದಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು. ಈ ಕವಿತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನೀರಜ್ ಜಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.. 'ಹೈ ಬಹುತ್ ಅಂಧೇರಾ, ಅಬ್ ಸೂರಜ್ ನಿಕಲ್ನಾ ಚಾಹಿಯೇ, ಜಿಸ್ ತರಹ್ ಸೆ ಭಿ ಯೇ ಮೌಸಂ ಬದಲ್ನಾ ಚಾಹಿಯೇ' (ಈಗ ತುಂಬಾ ಕತ್ತಲಿದೆ.. ಈಗ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಬರಲೇ ಬೇಕು... ಈರೀತಿಯಿಂದಾದರೂ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಬದಲಾಗಬೇಕು) ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
