00:00In the M23's first public gathering since taking control of Goma, Kone Nanga, head of
00:06the movement's political wing, once again asserted that he wanted to march on Kinshasa.
00:11On Wednesday, the Democratic Republic of Congo issued an international arrest warrant for
00:15the M23 figure, notably accused of war crimes.
00:19Thousands of people have died in less than a week of fighting.

01:16neighbouring countries, sub-regional organisations, the African Union and the United Nations.
01:23This new offensive comes at a time when the M23 had announced a unilateral humanitarian
01:28ceasefire, supposed to have been in force since Tuesday.
01:31Felix Tshisekedi and his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame are due to attend a joint extraordinary
01:37summit of the East African Community and the Southern African Development Community in
01:42Tanzania on Saturday.
