00:00Let's take a look at the new photo wall at the GMA Network.
00:12Please welcome Lars Santiago.
00:18The corridors on the ground floor of the GMA Network Center are now brighter
00:25because of the new portraits of Kapusu artists and personalities.
00:31All shot with a diamond-like backdrop
00:34because it's the 75th anniversary of the GMA this year.
00:39Welcome to the new Kapusu photo wall that was inaugurated earlier.
00:44It's a small token of our appreciation for all of their work
00:50and the happiness and strength that they all bring us.
00:55This is our way of honoring our talents
00:59who has contributed to the success of the network.
01:02The photos of Dindong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Alden Richards,
01:09Heart Evangelista, Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado, Julian San Jose, and other Kapusu artists are in the gallery.
01:18Looking at the photos, I'm happy that I was able to share the screen or the stage with these talented Kapusu artists.
01:25It's an honor to be part of this wall.
01:28All the hard work paid off, and of course, I've been a loyal Kapuso.
01:35It feels good to be a part of the heart of the artists.
01:42I'm super thankful and grateful, especially that 2025 is actually my 10th year with GMA.
01:48The GMA artists are on the photo wall,
01:52like the 24-hour anchors Mel Tsiangko, Vicky Morales, and Emil Sumangil,
01:59first hit host Arnold Clavio, and KMJS host Jessica Soho.
02:05It's a great honor to be part of this photo wall.
02:10The GMA artists and news personalities,
02:17it's a great blessing to be a part of this.
02:20Thank you to GMA.
02:22Along with the wall is the portrait of the famous Kapusu anchor and broadcaster, Mike Enriquez,
02:30and other personalities of GMA Integrated News and Public Affairs.
02:36Aside from the President and CEO, Gilberto R. Duavid, Jr.,
02:41and Executive Vice President and CFO, Felipe S. Yalong.
02:46It's also an honor to have the Senior Vice President and Head of GMA Integrated News,
02:53Regional TV and Synergy, Oliver Victor B. Amoroso,
02:58Senior Vice President for GMA Entertainment Group, Lilibeth G. Razonable,
03:04Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications, Angel Javier Cruz,
03:10and Vice President for Public Affairs, Arlene Carnay.
03:14Some of the members of the Board of Directors of GMA Network,
03:20like Executive Committee Chairman, Joel G. Jimenez,
03:25former Chief Justice, Artemio Panganiban,
03:28Laura Jimenez-Westphal, and Judith R. Duavid-Vasquez.
03:34For GMA Integrated News, Lar Santiago is your witness.
03:43At the first opportunity, Vice President Sara Duterte spoke after she was impeached by the camera.
03:49She said that her legal team is getting ready.
03:52Some congressmen encouraged her to lower her visa in the impeachment process.
03:57Witness, Marisol Abduraman.
04:03God save the Philippines.
04:07Two days after the camera was impeached,
04:10Sara Duterte.
04:12Vice President Sara Duterte faced the media.
04:15She hasn't read the complaint yet,
04:17but her legal team is already busy preparing for the impeachment trial.
04:43Is the Vice President ready for the impeachment trial?
04:46If possible, no.
04:47And I understand, if possible, no.
04:51Because they might be intimidated by my presence there.
04:55Do you think you have the numbers in the Senate to be appointed?
04:57I can't say that right now, sir.
05:00We're not there yet.
05:02Are you not confident that you have enough allies to avoid a conviction in the Senate acting as an impeachment court?
05:08I haven't thought about that, sir.
05:11I've not counted numbers of votes in the Senate,
05:17so we are not there yet.
05:19We are still, the legal team is still in the preparation of the defense
05:26and what we will do moving forward.
05:30The highest punishment that an impeachment court can impose
05:33is to be removed from office.
05:35And for the rest of your life,
05:36you cannot hold any office in the government
05:39if you are found guilty.
05:40Resignation is not an option.
05:42We are not there yet, ma'am.
05:44Those things are still too far away.
05:50We are still in the process of reading.
05:59Actually, ma'am, we are not there yet
06:01because only the lawyers are working.
06:03I really don't know what they are doing.
06:05But I have a meeting with them.
06:07The vice president has not yet announced who will be his defense team.
06:10But former President Rodrigo Duterte,
06:13who was the first to say that he will appoint a lawyer for him,
06:16may not be able to be the lead counsel.
06:19Maybe if he wants to, he can be part of the defense team.
06:23But because of his age and because of rigorous preparations in an impeachment case,
06:32maybe I will tell him not to lead.
06:36Because former President Rodrigo Duterte is a bit old.
06:42He's already 80 years old this year.
06:44They haven't talked to his father yet,
06:47but he already sent a message here.
06:49I think I said everything will be alright.
06:53That's what I said.
06:56His reply was a song.
07:00What song?
07:01MacArthur Spark.
07:05He sent a video of him singing.
07:08That vice president,
07:14if you see him, just talk to him.
07:17Tell him to memorize MacArthur Spark.
07:24215 congressmen endorsed the impeachment complaints,
07:28so it was immediately transmitted to the Senate.
07:31Do I feel betrayed?
07:36Actually, ma'am, I don't have feelings.
07:41I don't have feelings about it.
07:46Because if you notice,
07:50I don't really have a political partner.
07:54I don't join their circles.
07:59But we are friends.
08:01Maybe that's why it's easy for them to make decisions about the impeachment.
08:09Because there's nothing that is worthwhile in our friendship.
08:19I'm okay.
08:20You know, it's more painful to leave a boyfriend or girlfriend
08:29than to be impeached by the House of Representatives.
08:42How do you feel?
08:43BBM said he didn't support the impeachment,
08:46but his son signed first.
08:49Oh, okay.
08:52Because he said, this is the only thing I can read.
08:57Congressman Marcos said,
08:59he didn't support the four impeachment complaints,
09:02but he shouldn't be surprised if he was the first to sign the complaint.
09:06As to why I was the first one to sign,
09:09you know, if a person wants to insult your grandfather
09:13and throw his body in the West Philippine Sea,
09:17he will say that he wants to kill the President and the First Lady of my parents,
09:22and he wants to kill the Speaker.
09:24Why would a person be surprised if I signed there?
09:28You know, these are statements that can't be taken lightly,
09:31especially from someone with such a high position.
09:35So, I wonder why people were surprised.
09:39The first to be sued in the articles of impeachment
09:41were the so-called words of the Vice President
09:43against the President, First Lady, and House Speaker.
09:47I did not make an assassination threat to the President.
10:02I think he knows the truth to that, so let's just leave it at that.
10:06The Vice President did not answer the question
10:08if he believes that the President has nothing to do with the impeachment
10:11and if he believes that he has money to spend on this.
10:14Some congressmen did not want the Vice President
10:17to be involved in the impeachment process,
10:19in addition to the loved ones who were separated.
10:22It shows how low his regard for public service is,
10:28how he does not value the mandate of the people
10:32and our democratic processes.
10:34I want to say to Vicky Sarate,
10:36this is not a matter of love,
10:38this is a matter of public accountability and responsibility.
10:42It is still unclear when the impeachment trial will start.
10:46But Senate President Jesus Codero said
10:49that it is likely to start in June
10:51because the session is already on break.
10:53House Speaker Martin Ruimualdez
10:55is already asking for his resignation from the Senate
10:57and said that he is in a hurry.
11:00Congressmen signed more than 25 signatures
11:04according to House Secretary General Reginald Velasco.
11:07They are in their district and abroad
11:09to sign on Wednesday.
11:12If the Senate accepts the additional signatures,
11:15the endorsement of the 4th impeachment complaint
11:18for the GMA Integrated Youth will reach 240.
11:22I am Marisol Abdurrahman,
11:24your witness.
