00:00Let's go through the two defensive players that could pressure the quarterback.
00:04We have Chris Jones on the defensive side for the Kansas City Chiefs, who could be a
00:08big factor depending on Jalen Hurts.
00:11But I got to tell you, this is my one big dart throw for potential MVP.
00:16I don't think it's going to happen, but Jalen Carter's basically been uncoverable for any
00:22offensive line.
00:23I mean, he generally is getting through almost every time.
00:26You remember the Eagles used to have Hassan Redick on the outside.
00:29Their pass rush is okay, but Jalen Carter has been the one that's been doing the most
00:33damage, George.
00:34Yeah, we're talking about this all week.
00:37I think there's a chance for a Philadelphia defensive player to win the award today, mainly
00:42because I don't think we're going to get a high-scoring game.
00:44If we do get a high-scoring game, then you know it's going to be probably Hurts or Barkley.
00:46And I think, by the way, the voters want it to be Barkley big time in this award, but
00:51Hurts obviously would have a shot there.
00:52But if Kansas City is shut down, I don't think the Kansas City offensive line is all that
00:56good.
00:57I think Jalen Carter is going to have a field day, all right, to get a sack, overall just
01:01one sack.
01:02Not multiple sacks.
01:03One sack was plus 116 as of last night.
01:05I am on that coming into this game.
01:07I think Mahomes is going to get sacked multiple times, mainly because—and it's not all a
01:11bad thing.
01:12I don't think the Chiefs are going to be able to run the ball whatsoever.
01:16I think Mahomes is going to have to drop back 40-plus times.
01:20That's a lot of drop backs, a lot of chance for Carter to get that sack.
01:23Other players to get sacks as well here.
01:24I think he will take some sacks.
01:25I think he's going to throw that deception as well.
01:27But I'm on Jalen Carter, Craig, the guy you mentioned here, definitely get a sack in this
01:31game.
01:32Yeah, and look, he's basically been probably, if not, you know, the best or second-best
01:38draft pick.
01:39I mean, it's hard to go against Jayden Daniels and some of the other players that were taken
01:41ahead of him.
01:42But Carter, Joe, has had such a big impact this season.
01:46Meanwhile, Quinion Mitchell, another name that is out there for a potential pick or
01:51two.
01:52Cooper Dijon is another.
01:53Trent McDuffie has been fantastic for Kansas City.
01:56How do you see the defensive backs lining up as potential X-factors here, Joe?
01:59Well, just to piggyback, you know, George's point, too, on Jalen Carter, I mean, he is
02:04a massive problem.
02:05Aaron Donald is saying, he is the new me.
02:07And when Aaron Donald says words like that, I think everybody needs to stand up and pay
02:11attention to it.
02:12If you're still getting a sack, Brock, on him this morning at plus money, you better
02:16take it because it would be absurd considering there is a bit of a patchwork offensive line
02:20issue going on here with the Chiefs.
02:22You know, Tooney had to go out there and play a different position this year, and they've
02:25been just kind of piecing things together there.
02:27Now they've held it together.
02:28But Jalen Carter is going to put a lot of pressure up the middle of the field.
02:31And then the corners are something you have to worry about.
02:33You know, we still have Slade, the veteran there, Quinion Mitchell, and Cooper Dijon,
02:37two guys selected by the Philadelphia Eagles.
02:39How he did a terrific job of solidifying the corners, because last season we know how bad
02:45the defensive backfield was for the Eagles.
02:46It was really just disappointing.
02:48They could not hold leads.
02:49They had all kinds of problems in these games.
02:51And that was good from a fantasy standpoint for us, because there was a lot of shootouts,
02:54but unfortunately not so good for the Philadelphia Eagles.
02:56So between Carter up front, and then those corners out there too, who are going to be
03:01matched up against some, let's face it, pretty mid-level wide receiver talent at this stage
03:05in their careers.
03:06Worthy, very explosive player, but he needs some time to separate.
03:09Will Jalen Carter allow Mahomes that time?
03:11And then the other guys, guys like Hollywood Brown, DeAndre Hopkins, Juju, they don't create
03:15a lot of separation.
03:16One other note too about Butker and the kicking games here, the X-Factors.
03:21Butker, 36 for 40 on field goals, 67 for 70 in the playoffs, 21 playoff games.
03:25That's a lot of experience.
03:26I just want to point out here too, Jake Elliott tied for the third most field goal misses
03:31this year.
03:32So it's not just Butker, but it's also the other side.
03:34If this game is as close as Vegas is telling us, then it really might come down to a missed
03:39extra point.
03:40And it seems like hyperbolic to be sitting here this morning talking about that, but
03:45it might just be that simple.
03:47Who do you feel better, more confident making those extra points, making those field goals,
03:51making those kicks in big spots?
03:53Right now, I think the Eagles side is a little shaky.
