Newcastle United supporters are waiting patiently as Carabao Cup final ticketing news is expected to drop.

00:00Hello everybody, how's it going? I was going to take you gallivanting around the semi-rural
00:04countryside of Walbottle as I normally do for one of these videos, but it's high in the dune. I don't
00:09know, you might be watching this video from your castle anywhere in the northeast, even a little
00:13bit further, but the weather's a little bit grim in there in England right now, so for now you're
00:19going to have to settle for me in the comfort of my own living room. The one topic on everyone's
00:24lips today associated with Newcastle is Carabao Cup tickets. There'll be supporters out there
00:31far and wide, spamming that refresh button, scrolling like mad on social media, waiting to
00:36find out what priority they're going to be in for the Carabao Cup final. Ticket information is
00:42expected at some point today. As far as I'm aware, there's no leaks to the media or anything, there's
00:48no embargo for the press to keep the information back, so like you guys at home, we'll be finding
00:55out exactly the same time as you and expect the usual excitement, meltdown, all the usual emotions
01:04that go with a big ticket and release like this. We've seen it in recent years with Champions
01:09League tickets and obviously the Carabao Cup final last time. What I will promise is that,
01:14I think this goes without saying, it will be based on a priority system. Remember last year,
01:20it was sort of two years ago, sorry, it was based on different tiers, you know, depending on stuff
01:26like loyalty points and which Carabao Cup games you'd attended there this season or whether you're
01:31a season ticket holder, remember. All I can do is, when the news does arrive, by the time this
01:36video goes live, you might have already seen the announcement, but wish you the very best of luck
01:42and fingers crossed Newcastle can get over the line for you as well and end that 70 years of
01:48domestic pain that has been cursing Newcastle United. Newcastle will be putting a story out
01:54there with all the information that you need when the news does drop, so you can know exactly where
01:59the land lies, whether you can have to tweak travel arrangements or so or whether you're one
02:04of the lucky ones or whatever that may be, we'll be putting a story out there as soon as the news
02:09breaks, so stay tuned. But with the Cup overall, an interesting little development happened last
02:16night regarding Liverpool, so many people, most people in football would probably put Liverpool
02:24as the favourites for the Carabao Cup. I think even the most rose-tinted Newcastle fan would
02:29agree with that one, purely based off Liverpool's league position and the history of the club,
02:35what they've won in recent years. Looking like they're going to wrap up the Premier League pretty
02:39comfortably this season, in my opinion, you know I don't really give Arsenal much of a chance of
02:44catching them, Liverpool look relentless, until last night, did Newcastle get a little glimmer of
02:51hope when Plymouth Argyle knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup? Not many people were expecting that
02:56one, the bookies had it at 18-1. Newcastle, if they could sprinkle some of that Plymouth Argyle magic
03:03in the Carabao Cup final next month, they'd be well happy with that one. It does open the door,
03:10it could be the case of Newcastle United haven't won any silver worth domestically since 1955,
03:19with one of the big hitters out of the competition, could that change twice this season? Could it
03:25arrive like buses almost? That competition, the FA Cup, obviously Newcastle won 3-2 at
03:31Birmingham the other day, a hard-fought win as well, Newcastle had to dig deep there,
03:36made a few changes but Birmingham, I was there with my colleague Joel O'Crown and the Birmingham
03:41crowd was as good a home crowd I've seen for a long time, they really made it a bit of a bear
03:46pit in there, inside St Andrews, but Newcastle dug deep and got the win and that competition's
03:50opening up nicely. The draw will be tonight after the Christopher Palace game, likewise with
03:57post-18, Newcastle will be giving you all the developments when that draw does land,
04:02and yeah the FA Cup, imagine Newcastle United had starved of success for so long, they get two at
04:08once, could you imagine the parties in the North East? I spoke to Joel Willock after the game,
04:12the story dropped last night, feel free to check it out, he obviously won the game for Newcastle
04:16and he had some pretty strong words to say in the tunnel afterwards, there was a couple of local
04:21reporters managed to grab him, he was, for those who weren't aware, he was obviously subject to
04:26some pretty vile racial abuse online, the club came out immediately and defended Joel Willock,
04:32put a pretty long, strong statement out there and Joel Willock had his chance to address that
04:38publicly on the weekend, he said some pretty revealing things, especially with, obviously
04:45condemned the vile trials, he labelled them as low-lifes, he also opened up about Eddie Howe,
04:51how he reacted and how he helped him, he said the day after, the day after the club made a
04:58statement and during training Eddie Howe called him into his office and gave him his unwavering
05:03support and Joel Willock said that for that he'll always have the ultimate respect for Eddie Howe,
05:10and he also called on social media companies to do more, you know there's been a lot of talk
05:15lately about social media and all the trolls and abuse online and Joel Willock said look,
05:20it's about time you play your part, he said it wasn't the first time that he was subject to that
05:25sort of abuse after a football match and it's sad to see but you know he responded in perfect
05:30fashion and there's no way to stick it to the haters in the way he did, two goals put Newcastle
05:34into the next round and happy days, he seems to be made of stern stuff, a bit of a tongue twister
05:40there, stern stuff Joel Willock, so feel free to check that story out on the Newcastle World
05:45website and I won't take up any much more of your time because no doubt you'll be scrolling
05:50through social media and waiting for that Cowabunga Cup news to arrive and yes once again
05:56good luck and I hope you get the news you're looking for.
