00:00And starting this 2024 campaign, just two and two, Nick Sirianni was hearing it from everybody
00:07in Philadelphia. Media, maybe even players, and certainly fans even in his own home stadium.
00:15But Nick Sirianni now gets the final word as a Super Bowl champion.
00:20Yeah, he just keeps getting better. He knows how to win. He does a great job of being able
00:26to block out all the outside noise. I think it's, you know, I find it funny when it's like,
00:32you know, well, Jalen is good, but he's got a good team around him. Like, that's football.
00:37Like, again, you cannot be great without the greatness of others. Like, Jalen can't do it
00:42by himself. He needs AJ. He needs that offensive line. He needs Saquon and vice versa. You know,
00:48the reason Saquon has a special year, you know, not only the offensive line, but the
00:53attention that Jalen commands for the run game. He's special. Jalen's special.
01:00And, you know, the criticism, it just blows my mind because I think he's so special and won so
01:08many games and works his butt off and just continues to get better, can block out everything
01:14and just focus on the task at hand of getting better, putting yourself positioned to win
01:20each week. And he does a great job of that. And he had an unbelievable game today when we needed
01:26him to, because when you sell out to stop, you know, we knew how good of a coach and how good
01:31of a defense that we were playing today. And it'll, but when you, when you sell out to stop
01:36one thing, another thing opens. And Jalen was able to take advantage of that today. And man,
01:43him and this team are world champs forever. And the Chiefs did contain Saquon Barkley,
01:5025 carries, only 57 yards on the ground, just 2.3 yards per pop. But for a second consecutive
01:57Superbowl for the Eagles, their quarterback is the leading rusher. And this time with a
02:02Lombardi trophy. Donnie, you heard Nick Sirianni address the criticism and the questions perhaps
02:07that Jalen Hurts had at the upper echelon of being a quarterback that could guide his team
02:12to a Superbowl championship. I think some of those criticisms were also pointed at Nick Sirianni.
02:18Could he be the managerial and CEO head coach to lead his team to a championship? The answer
02:25to both of those questions, again, a resounding yes last night. Absolutely. But by the way,
02:31let's take you back to Monday night down in New Orleans at the Superdome where the media scrum
02:35was out here. You know, Saquon Barkley had out of 30 rows of people in front of them.
02:39So when you made your way around the field, you say, okay, there's Jalen Hurts over here.
02:43You know, there's Devante Smith, there's AJ Brown, the opposite of you had a Nick Sirianni.
02:47Wow, look at this, man. You got maybe 10 reporters in front of him asking questions.
02:51You could probably get right in there and say, you know what? Hey, Nick, how do you feel about
02:54the Superbowl? The problem is he answers questions with like a 30-minute soliloquy
02:58of how he started high school and his grade school and his high school here, which made me laugh
03:02because like, I think I get, but same thing you just heard there. It's a lot of talking,
03:05but not saying a lot, which is the only criticism I have of Sirianni at this point,
03:09because he does sort of meander on, but it's just a little anecdote from Monday. Like,
03:13hey, ask him a quick question. There is no such thing as a quick question with Sirianni. But what
03:16he was saying was correct. And that's why I talked about that kinship between him and Jalen Hurts,
03:20the outside noise, which is an avalanche towards both of them. And can you imagine,
03:25even with this season, Sirianni loses, like that's two losses in a row to the Kansas City Chiefs
03:30winning three in a row, back to back to back, Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. It's no slight,
03:35but my goodness, that, you know, the focus of the press on Hurts and Sirianni would have been
03:40incredible. So it's nice to see them feeling vindicated after this game. Like, can I breathe
03:44a little bit now? I think I'm a pretty good damn coach. And over the first five years of my career,
03:48there's been not a better start in NFL history. And I have a Super Bowl, which I just beat Andy
03:53Reid in, the same with Jalen Hurts. So I agree, Ben, with a lot of what he was saying last night,
03:58sort of the, I told you so, and I can't believe you're doubting this guy. And yes,
04:02he is special. And maybe now you'll see that Jalen Hurts is special.
