00:00Those running for the May 12 polls are reminded to keep their campaign materials in accordance with Kamalek rules

00:25The Commission on Elections is ready for the kickoff of the campaign period tomorrow for candidates running for national positions

00:33As a matter of fact, the poll body already started monitoring the activities of candidates

00:38Especially their posted tarpaulins along roads in public areas

00:42According to Kamalek Chairman George Erwin Garcia, the poll body will strictly implement its rules on posters and campaign ads

00:49Including the allowed size for each candidate

00:52The Kamalek Warrant Violators may well suffer the penalty of disqualification and a fine of 1 to 6 years imprisonment

01:00The illegally posted, like in public places, will be removed by tomorrow

01:05At the same time, those using plastic or environmentally unfriendly materials will not be removed

01:17We will write to others to explain why they should not file a case of election offense and disqualification

01:25Aside from the size and proper placement, the Kamalek also reminds candidates to use environment-friendly posters and leaflets

01:33And to assure there won't be tons of garbage during their campaign

01:37We will be strict. We won't allow garbage to be collected by the MMDA or other local government units or agencies

01:49Meanwhile, along with Kamalek's preparation for the campaign period, Agri Partylist Representative Wilbert Lee filed his withdrawal as a senatorial candidate

01:59It hurts me inside, but this is what made me happy

02:03Because I saw that in my circle, in my conversations, I realized that my time and my machinery are really lacking

02:13The Kamalek said, this has no effect at all on their preparations

02:17The printing ballots will not restart, and if he acquires votes, those will be counted as stray ones
