00:11to see Ivanka in the box with her dad, President Donald Trump, to begin with. Donald's wife
00:16Melania Trump skipped out on the big game on February 9th, 2025, and instead, his eldest
00:22daughter and one of her sons, Theodore James Kushner, could be seen in the suite with the
00:26commander-in-chief.
00:28While she was a major part of her dad's first administration, serving as a special advisor,
00:33Ivanka has backed away for term number two, only serving what's been described as an informal
00:38role.
00:39I love policy and impact. I hate politics. And unfortunately, the two are not separable."
00:47Yet her outfit at the Superdome in New Orleans was anything but informal. She really wasted
00:52a chance to inject any semblance of personality into her wardrobe by dressing as if she were
00:57attending a work meeting. She arrived at Super Bowl 59 wearing a white, two-piece pantsuit
01:02that did nothing to reflect the game's fun, casual nature. Ivanka didn't exactly look
01:08like she was walking into an investors' meeting, but her sleeveless top, accented by a thick
01:12brown belt, made the first daughter look more like she was attending a company spring luncheon.
01:18So while it wasn't as severe as it could have been, it still wasn't the right vibe.
01:23When celebs attend the Super Bowl or some other big game, they tend to at least try
01:26to look casual. They don't always succeed, of course. You may remember Rob Lowe and his
01:32infamous NFL hat, but generally, they try to go with something bold, shiny, and colorful.
01:38Consider everything Taylor Swift has worn since she started attending games for just
01:42one example. That said, Ivanka's dad was all business, too, wearing his standard dark blue
01:47suit and red tie. The president made waves when he announced a few days before the game
01:52that he'd be attending the Super Bowl. He wrote on the White House website just a few
01:56hours before the game,
01:57"'The coaches, players, and team staff on the field tonight represent the best of the
02:01best in professional football, but they also embody the best of the American Dream.'"
02:06He's the first president, first sitting president, excuse me, to attend a Super Bowl game."
02:11He also sent well wishes to the teams and country on behalf of himself and first lady
02:16Melania Trump.
02:17Ivanka was excited to attend the big game, too. She posted multiple updates about her
02:21game day festivities, including sharing a video of her flying with Donald on Air Force
02:26One on her Instagram stories.
02:28To kick off the day, Ivanka celebrated Chris Stapleton singing the National Anthem at a
02:33previous Super Bowl, writing,
02:34"'This Sunday morning, enjoy one of the greatest ever renditions of the National Anthem sung
02:39by Chris Stapleton the last time the Chiefs and the Eagles faced off in the Super Bowl.'"
02:44In another slide, she posted a video of her son's flag football game that took place before
02:49the slightly bigger one.
02:51Ivanka also posted several items of clothing seemingly gifted to her by fashion brands,
02:56including cowboy boots and a flirty all-white skirt and top set, all of which would have
03:01definitely been a more interesting Super Bowl fit than the outfit she chose.
03:05Among the others in the box with Ivanka and Donald were New Orleans Saints owner Gale
03:09Benson, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Eric and Laura Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson,
03:15Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry, and several Republican senators.
