00:00The PNP-CIDG arrested the former police general who was involved in the Umanoy cover-up in the controversial Shabu Raid in 2022.

00:18You were arrested by the court for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

00:25Retired Lt. Gen. Benjamin Santos fled from Singapore via Terminal 1.

00:30Members of the PNP-CIDG are already waiting to serve the warrant of arrest against him.

00:36He was charged with Miranda Rights and was also detained at the airport for a booking procedure.

00:45Santos was also arrested by the court for violating the 990 kg Shabu bust in 2022.

00:54This is considered to be the biggest drug arrest in history, where almost Php 7 million worth of Shabu was confiscated.

01:02The Umanoy cover-up was released to cover-up the arrest of a member of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group or PIDEG,

01:10which is Police Master Sergeant Rodolfo Mayo Jr.

01:14The police identified that the arrest of Mayo was hidden because a follow-up operation was being carried out.

01:21Santos was arrested after he got a CCTV footage that showed the location where the drug was recovered.

01:29But Santos said that he didn't know that a member of the PIDEG was arrested during the operation.

01:35He only found out that he was involved with the police during the crime scene inspection.

01:40The CIDG members went straight to the court in Manila to claim Php 200,000.

01:49Earlier, he already had a release order and he's already temporarily a free man.

01:57Last week, the retired general sent a surrender feeder to the CIDG before the warrant of arrest was issued by the court.

02:05The former chief of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group, retired Brigadier General Narciso Domingo,

02:11has no feelings from the other seven at large.

02:14In a post on social media, Domingo said that he will not give up.

02:18We're confident that eventually, all these seven will be all accounted for.

02:22We have a tracker team to look for them.

02:26Actually, not only General Domingo, but the six others.
