00:00My group Black Eyed Peas came here and the city was in this developed and it's amazing
00:20to see all this development and excitement and to have a music week, Dubai Music Week
00:28that invites the world to come and perform and enjoy your culture and collaborate with
00:33your artists. It's a wonderful thing, you know.
00:36It's so exciting to know that we're going to be a part of maybe developing a lot of
00:40artists here and breaking them worldwide. I've seen quite a few and they're very, very
00:47talented. I think that's our mission is to spread the artists here worldwide and I think
00:54that's very important that we come together finally, you know.
00:57I try to bring a lot of Arabic music to America and, you know, get your freak on, big pimpin'.
01:04The Middle East sound is cups, bottles, rakes, water, just everything that's around you and
01:12you make the best rhythms and people really embrace their culture and I just love to be
01:19a part of that. I'm just happy to be a part of that.
01:22You know, there's wonderful artists that come from all over the world but very few artists
01:27become global acts. J-Lo from Puerto Rico and Shakira. We haven't really seen an Arabic
01:38or Asian global superstar yet. So the world is waiting for someone from the Middle East
01:45to be the big global superstar. A lot of us think that the next Michael Jackson or the
01:54next Lionel Richie or the next Diana Ross or Donna Summers could come, should come,
02:03it could come from this region but it'll take someone with a global eye to translate that.
02:11I look forward to all the great things we can do in launching artists from the Emirates
02:20worldwide, starting with the States and so forth. And we've got a lot of things on our agenda
02:27but I'm just very proud to be here with these two. This is the future, you know.
02:32These brothers are the future. And I know we're in good hands.
02:36All I can say is shukran, habibi, habibi.
02:49you
