00:30The story is two very very different people. My character Srinath is a very selfish guy,
00:37self-involved guy who doesn't really care about anyone other than himself. And he is
00:42obviously very very different from Diya, Rina's character. Do you take that with you?
00:49Well I play Diya who is a social activist. Somebody who is always ready to stand up for
00:56a cause. Somebody who is very dedicated to her work. She wants to do something with her
01:02life. And that's why whenever there is a protest, she is kind of the first one to lead the entire
01:07campaign, be it anti-corruption or fighting against corruption. She basically I think
01:12thinks that it is her responsibility to clean up the nation and the country that she lives
01:17in. And that's where both their ideologies don't kind of match. And Diya and Sriram reach
01:24a point where they separate and she goes on to live in a village, a small little village
01:30called Chunli. And he follows her there and that kind of forms the second half of this movie.
01:53Something that Kuneet does very well, which he did in Ivy Glove Stories as well, where
01:57you see how do people who initially may not seem compatible, how they can overcome their
02:04own personal issues and grow together. You know in older films in the 80s, 90s and stuff,
02:10in romantic films, there is always an external obstacle. Parents are fighting, families will
02:15not allow you to get married, he is rich, she is poor, all of these external issues.
02:19What I like about the way that Kuneet writes his films is there are always internal issues.
02:23It's the people's personalities themselves that are different, you can never part.
02:27Her family has nothing against me, my family has nothing against her. It's just the two
02:31of us are unable to make it work until we sort some things out.
02:50And I love the smell of cobalt.
02:51We are dancing in the village.
02:53There is plenty of dancing certainly.
02:55It's a Bollywood movie.
02:57I think part of that is just inherently I think we are damn good together.
03:00Without trumpeting my own heart, I do honestly believe that we are very very good together.
03:07Yeah, I think we work well, that's what's important. I think the chemistry comes across
03:13and that's how people are liking us together. There is a lot of likeability in the pair.
03:17And that's the interesting part and that's why I agreed to do Gori Tere Pyar Mein.
03:21I mean Imran was on board, Kuneet and Imran have worked and I hit which was lovely.
03:26But yeah, it's a fun masala movie, it's not rocket science.
03:48You know, I mean I haven't done a romantic comedy.
03:51In fact, in the last couple of years, I've done a lot of intense films.
03:54Right.
03:55Which this came as a refreshing change to kind of just be a part of.
03:59I don't really know what Bollywood, we make tall claims that you know Bollywood is coming
04:04of age and we want this and we want that.
04:06Basically, everyone wants to go, we go and watch all the item songs and we go and those
04:10movies become big hits.
04:11So, I mean this is that kind of movie.
04:14So, I mean this is that kind of movie.
04:15It's you know masala, it's fun, it's you know.
04:18We're not like claiming that it's.
04:20During cancer.
04:43Yeah.
