00:00I feel that every project of mine becomes a bit of a milestone in my life, and so is
00:15Hoopsurat in a lot of ways, and it's introduced me to this really huge, new, and amazing and
00:22very close to home kind of an audience.
00:24I enjoyed it, the process, the journey, and working with the team, which to be very honest,
00:29you know, the kapoors, it's like working with family at home, it was so comfortable all
00:33the time.
00:34So I kind of enjoyed the whole journey, the whole ride, and wherever I am today, irrespective
00:39of whatever the results may have been, I think it would have been a very memorable chapter
00:42of my life.
00:43So, yeah, when I look at it, it brings back a lot of fond memories, and I guess that's
00:48the best way to look at it.
00:53It was kind of easy, you know, the funny part is that yes, you know, I'm very lucky, thank
00:57God I'm very lucky, and things have been so easy so far, but it was fairly simple.
01:04They had seen my work, they thought I fit the role, and I did a couple of scenes with
01:09them, I read the script, and I flew down, and they said, okay, when do we start?
01:13So it was pretty much just one, two, three.
01:17And once it started, yes, obviously, you know, I do get butterflies in my stomach, and that
01:21happens before any project, even a television project, you know, how it's going to be received
01:24by the audience.
01:25So that was there the whole time, but I think because I wasn't so serious about, you know,
01:30saying that I want this piece of the pie, and I would rather just enjoy it, enjoy being
01:35a part of it, that's why I think these things did not make anything too difficult for me.
01:43Mumbai is a beautiful city, and it's amazing, the kind of energy and the kind of vibe, and
01:50you know, but the thing is that I just had to pick up the whole family, everyone around
01:54me, and just move there, and then again, see, Lahore is where I was born and bred.
02:03I give all the credit to my team, I always do, and it's always safe to do that, you know,
02:08if a project bombs, you can blame it on them, if it succeeds, you can blame it on them.
02:12Very, very, very, that's a very pragmatic stand to take.
02:15It is, it is, definitely is, but very genuinely, and honestly, I mean it, I, you know, I owe
02:21it to the whole team that I was working with.
02:25I just think that whenever you do something with a little, you know, honesty, with a little
02:30bit of dedication, loyalty, and if you're in sync with the people around you, something
02:35of the other good turns out of it.
02:37I did not expect it to be this big, but obviously, you know, you get that feel-good factor from
02:41it when you're shooting it, so when you get that feel-good factor while you're shooting
02:45you obviously expect to see it that way as well, so I did not, I did not, you know, I
02:53could never have perceived how big this would have become.
02:59My wife spearheads that, yeah, she came up with the idea, the concept was hers, the design
03:05was hers, it's completely her baby.
03:10I think I have an army of people looking after me because, you see, the thing is that I feel
03:14that I observe a lot, and I try to pick out whatever suits me best, and there are a couple
03:19of people who really influence my sense of style.
03:22I must say that my wife is one of them.
03:27They're friends back at home, there's a couple of friends back at home, there's a director,
03:31he's a very renowned director back in Pakistan, his name's Asim, so, you know, got to learn
03:38a lot from him as well, so there are a couple of people, but then again, you see, it's something
03:43that I like to just stick to, what's very basic and what's very simple.
03:47I don't try to be too flashy, or to wear something that doesn't suit me.
03:50For me, that's what fashion means, whatever suits you is good, it does not have to suit
03:54anyone else, it does not have to be the trend, or the rave of the season.
03:59The strange thing is, I really don't know what is in my wardrobe.
04:02I have such a small closet, that everything is kind of, you know, it's in a ball.
04:13It's in a ball.
