00:11The Ministry of Energy has announced fuel prices will be deregulated across the UAE
00:15from August 1st, and a new policy linked to global oil prices will be adopted. The decisions
00:20aimed at supporting the national economy, lowering fuel consumption, protecting the
00:24environment and preserving national resources, according to Sahil al-Mazroui, Minister of
00:29Energy. He said a fuel price committee has been set up to review prices against average
00:35international levels prior to their implementation in the Emirates. On the 28th of each month,
00:40the committee will announce the prices for the following month. In line with this decision,
00:45prices of gasoline and diesel for August will be announced on Tuesday, July 28th, based
00:51on average global prices with the addition of operating costs, according to the ministry.
00:57More rains forecast in northern Pakistan after flash floods inundated several villages
01:02in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces. Dozens of people have died, Pakistani media
01:07reported, and hundreds of thousands have been displaced. Pop singer Taylor Swift, British
01:13singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, R&B singer Beyonce and DJ producer Mark Ronson lead the nominations
