00:11A number stamped on a piece of aircraft debris found on Larunian Island could help quickly
00:16identify whether it came from Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, missing for more than 500 days.
00:23Officials believe it is almost certain that the debris, thought to be a wing part called
00:27a flaperon, belongs to a Boeing 777 aircraft, but have yet to confirm it is from the MH370.
00:34The Israeli regime's parliament has approved a law allowing prisoners on hunger strike
00:38to be force-fed if their life is in danger or if they face chronic health problems. The
00:43law, which seeks to prevent imprisoned Palestinian resistance fighters from pressurising Israel
00:48by refusing food, was initially approved by the cabinet in June 2014.
00:54Yacoub Abdul Razak Memon, the only death row convict in India's deadliest terror attack,
00:59the 1993 Mumbai bombings that killed 257 people, was hanged early today on his birthday after
01:06the country's president rejected a last-minute mercy plea. Memon was executed inside a prison
01:11in western India where he had been incarcerated since 1994.
01:16Afghan Taliban were silent on the reported death of their leader, Mullah Omar, and said
01:21they knew nothing of a second round of peace talks reportedly taking place in Islamabad
01:25this week. Rumours about Mullah Omar's death have circulated in the past, but Wednesday
01:30was the first time the Afghan presidential palace formally announced the news of his
01:35death in a Pakistani hospital two years ago.
01:39Microsoft launched its new operating system, Windows 10, in Dubai on Wednesday. For the
01:44first time, the US firm is giving away the OS for free to legitimate Windows 7 and Windows
01:508.1 customers and small businesses.
01:54Ellie Goulding is set to make her return to Dubai. The British singer has been confirmed
01:58as one of Dubai Music Week's artists this year. She will perform at Dubai World Trade
02:03Centre on September 24.
