00:16So I believe a lot of the bridal influence comes from ready-to-wear, comes from couture,
00:22comes from all the fashion houses, you know, going back to the 20s and the 30s.
00:26So I think that's where they look for influence, for inspiration, not only for bridal but for
00:34ready-to-wear as well.
00:35So I think they go hand-in-hand.
00:36For bridal in America, you know, I'm seeing a lot of very long sleeve, illusion necklines,
00:46very deep V necklines, deep V back necklines, very close-fitted gowns, very long trains.
00:53That's what I'm seeing that's going on in the market right now.
00:57Very lots of siren shapes, very provocative in a way.
01:03But with Oscar de la Renta, that's not so much the case.
01:06I think that we don't design based on trends.
01:08I think we, you know, we have a different mindset.
01:12And I think for us, it was about couture techniques, beautiful seam work, lots of layering of different
01:18fabrics to create that diaphanous, ethereal feel, lightweight fabrications, removing a
01:25lot of the crinoline under the skirts and the underpinnings and creating volume through
01:29texture.
01:31But that's what I've noticed has been a big trend for us this season.
01:36File is our signature fabrication that we've been using for ready-to-wear for many years
01:40and we also incorporate it into bridal as well.
01:43Has a beautiful structure, really, really nice hands.
01:46We worked with a lot of file this season.
01:53To be honest, in the bridal industry, all the designs will go back, you know?
01:57Like the ones of the 50s and 60s are going back in a more modern, but you still have
02:03the twist of the 50 or the 60.
02:06Like you still have the bride who comes and she wants the typical Kate Middleton dress,
02:11which is all lacy and built up.
02:14So in the bridal, you cannot go a bit crazy, you know?
02:20You just have four types of brides, you know?
02:23You just have the romantic, the princess, you have the hipster who really wants the
02:29sheathed gown and she just want to have a small wedding.
02:33You will have the natural bride who likes her wedding would be in a garden.
02:39She wants like two lathes, very fresh.
02:42And yeah, so you have the romantic girl, she will have all lace.
02:50But yeah, based on the trends, it's all like they will change the fabric, they will
02:54come up with the new styles, but mainly the cuts are the same.
