00:26so I think it just breaks every stereotype, it's something that the country should encourage
00:31and everybody should encourage.
00:33I hope like filmmakers take a cue from films like POSE 2 and honestly props to John, props
00:43to our director, props to our producer that they've visualised a woman sharing the same
00:48space as a hero, with a star.

00:53Exactly and honestly I know I've worked in so many films, I know that most of them would
01:00not be comfortable knowing that, they would want their, you know.
01:05So you are okay with having, you know, share the glory as well?
01:09In an ideal situation I would have liked for her to do all the action while I was watching.

01:29when a girl moves and the way she kicks and just the way she runs around and the first
01:34time I met her and we had to do an action sequence, we had to jump about 6 or 7 feet
01:40onto a mat all the time and she had a gun in the front and it would hurt her hips and
01:47I asked her to take care and I asked her whether she'll do it or she needs a body double.
01:51We were prepared for a body double because there was a blast happening 20 feet behind
01:55us, an actual blast, not a CG blast, an actual blast where you feel the heat and she said
02:00no, I'll do it.
02:03I'll be honest with you, I think an action hero and in her case I'd put her in the same
02:08space, she's an action hero today.
02:12I think it's about the attitude, you know, you need to have the right attitude to be
02:16an action hero.
02:18You don't necessarily need to have the best body or the best stunts or the best skills,
02:23you just need to have the right attitude.
02:26So when you pack a punch, it's about the way you look before you pack that punch that makes
02:30it different and you tell your audience that you mean business, that if you land this punch,
02:35he's not going to get up.
02:39The easy route would be to go and bash a neighbouring country.
02:45The more interesting thing would be to actually ask questions about your own and I think that's
02:51what Phospho does, it raises questions about your own country.
02:54So in no way, once you see it, which is why we're crying hoes about it, in no way are
02:58we jingoistic, we're not opportunistic, we've just made a very credible film and we've raised
03:03questions that we need to ask ourselves as country people and I'm sure Pakistan would
03:07want to do that with their own country people, you know.
03:10So it's not about India Park and when you see the film, it's in a completely different space.
03:18Neither, which is fantastic.
03:21How is that possible though, in a movie that is essentially an action movie?
03:26Doesn't it glorify India?
03:27Because it's exciting.
03:28Yeah, but there's no police brutality in this film at all.
03:31I'm a police officer who's going on a mission which actually trained RAW officials go for
03:36and I'm not equipped to go for it.
03:38So A, I'm landing up in another place.
03:40And I've been told that brute force is not the only way you're going to get through this.
03:44So this film is more about mind games.
03:47It's more about strategy, which is why we didn't mention it in the earlier press conference
03:53but our antagonist plays a very important role in this film.
03:57We wanted an antagonist that could slip into the crowd, could look regular, sweet, everything
04:03but be probably very dangerous.
04:06It's like Stephen Hawking when he was asked, what's your favourite role?
04:10Stephen Hawking was asked and he said, I'd like to play a bad guy in a James Bond film.
04:14And for me, there couldn't be anybody more dangerous than a guy who's so powerful in his brain
04:20which is what our antagonist is.
