00:00Mr. President, I truly believe that with all the challenges that we have in the Middle
00:24East that I finally see somebody that can take us across the finish line to bring stability,
00:30peace, and prosperity to all of us in the region, and it is, I think, our collective
00:35responsibility in the Middle East to continue to work with you, to support you, to achieve
00:40those lofty goals.
00:41Will you give His Majesty the King guarantee that you won't allow Israel to annex the
00:46West Bank?
00:47I think that's going to work out very well.
00:49That's not really what we're talking about today.
00:51I think that's something that's going to work out automatically, and it's in good shape.
00:57And we discuss it.
00:59Other people have discussed it with us and with me.
01:02That's going to work out.
01:03West Bank is going to work out very well.
01:05We have to keep in mind that there is a plan from Egypt and the Arab countries.
01:09We're being invited by Mohammed bin Salman to discussions in Riyadh.
01:13I think the point is, is how to make this work in a way that is good for everybody.
01:17Obviously, we have to look at the best interests of the United States, of the people in the
01:23region, especially to my people of Jordan, and we're going to have some interesting discussions
01:27today.
01:28I think one of the things that we can do right away is take 2,000 children that are either
01:34cancer children or in a very ill state to Jordan as quickly as possible, and then wait
01:40for, I think, the Egyptians to present their plan on how we can work with the President
01:45to work on the Gaza challenges.
01:48I want to tell you that...
01:50Excuse me, wait.
01:51Just please.
01:52I didn't know that, what you just said, 2,000 children with cancer or other problems, and
01:59that's really a beautiful gesture.
02:02That's really good, and we appreciate it.
02:04And we'll be working on the rest with Egypt.
02:08I think you're going to see some great progress.
02:11I think with Jordan, you're going to see some great progress.
02:14Every of us will have some others helping, and we're going to have some others at a very
02:17high level helping, and the whole thing will come.
02:20It's not a complex thing to do.
02:22And with the United States being in control of that piece of land, a fairly large piece
02:28of land, you're going to have stability in the Middle East for the first time.
02:32And the Palestinians, or the people that live now in Gaza, will be living beautifully in
02:37another location.
02:38They're going to be living safely.
02:40They're not going to be killed, murdered, and having to leave every 10 years, because
02:44I've been watching this for so many years.
02:46It's nothing but trouble.
02:49And I know we'll be able to work something also with, I believe, not 100%, but 99% we're
02:57going to work out something with Egypt.
02:59We're not going to buy anything.
03:00We're going to have it, and we're going to keep it, and we're going to make sure that
03:03there's going to be peace, and there's not going to be any problem, and nobody's going
03:07to question it.
03:09And we're going to run it very properly, and eventually we'll have economic development
03:14at a very large scale, maybe the largest scale on that site.
03:17All right, go ahead.
03:18Mr. President, you were saying that Palestinians will live somewhere else safe.
03:23Where exactly do you want them to live?
03:25Well, it's not where I want them to live.
03:27It's going to be where we ultimately choose as a group.
03:31And I believe we'll have a parcel of land in Jordan.
03:35I believe we'll have a parcel of land in Egypt.
03:38We may have someplace else, but I think when we finish our talks, we'll have a place where
03:44they're going to live very happily and very safely.
03:47Mr. President, how do you know that the Palestinians don't want to leave their land?
03:51Some people say this is ethnic cleansing.
03:53You won't be able to force them to leave their land.
03:55They're staying there.
03:56We're moving them to a beautiful location where they have new homes, where they can
04:01live safely, where they'll have doctors and medical and all of those things, and I think
04:07it's going to be great.
04:08Any questions?
04:09King Abdullah, what do you think about the U.S. taking over the Gaza Strip?
04:11Do you want to see the U.S. own the Gaza Strip?
04:14Well, I think, as I said earlier, the President is looking at Egypt coming to present a plan.
04:21As I said, we will be in Saudi Arabia to discuss how we can work with the President and with
04:25the United States.
04:27So I think let's wait until the Egyptians can come and present it to the President and
04:31then get ahead of ourselves.
04:32Mr. President, on your team, are you looking in charge of it?
04:33You said before that the U.S. would buy Gaza.
04:36And today you just said we're not going to buy Gaza?
04:38We're not going to have to buy.
04:39We're going to have Gaza.
04:40We don't have to buy.
04:41There's nothing to buy.
04:45We will have Gaza.
04:46What does that mean?
04:47No reason to buy.
04:49There is nothing to buy.
04:50It's Gaza.
04:51It's a war-torn area.
04:53We're going to take it.
04:54We're going to hold it.
04:55We're going to cherish it.
04:56And, Mr. President, take it under what authority?
04:57It is sovereign territory.
04:58Under the U.S. authority.
04:59And, Mr. President, would you seek to personally develop property in Gaza after this happens?
05:05No.
05:06I've had a great career in real estate.
05:09You know, when you've done what I've done in the last number of years, including the
05:14four years that we should have been doing something else, frankly, because people see
05:18that now for sure.
05:20But when you've done what I've done, you can just do more good for people when you're President.
