00:00Good day, welcome to the Gold Coast Update on Wednesday June 14th. Here are the top stories
00:06at this hour.
00:07People died in a massive fire that raced through a high-rise apartment building in West London
00:12early today, London's fire commissioner said, though she could not say how many. At least
00:1630 people were sent to hospitals. Flames shot from windows all the way up the side of the
00:2124 Grenfell Tower in North Kensington as firefighters battled the blaze and a plume of smoke could
00:26be seen for several miles. The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Residents
00:31said it appeared to start in an apartment on a lower floor and spread upward quickly.
00:35Qatar doesn't have the option to take a middle-line policy anymore as the time has come for it
00:40to decide whether it is all-in or not in the fight against extremism and aggression, the
00:45UAE ambassador to the US has said. Ambassador Youssef al-Attaiba wrote an op-ed piece in
00:50the Wall Street Journal saying the recent decision by four countries to cut diplomatic
00:55relations with Doha was an expression of a collective frustration with Qatar's policies.
01:00If Qatar sows the wind, it will reap the whirlwind, he said.
01:03Kim Kardashian West takes her status as a role model seriously and says part of that
01:08is owning up to her past mistakes and not letting online hatred distract her from her
01:13goals. The reality show star was one of the keynote speakers at the annual Forbes Women's
01:17Summit. Her wide-ranging conversations touched on how hurtful comments affect her, her still
01:22growing brand, how the robbery in Paris has changed her life, and husband Kanye West's
01:27photographic ability, or lack thereof.
01:30And finally, the weather today's high across the UAE will be 43 degrees Celsius dropping
01:34to 29 degrees at night. That's all for now, thank you for watching. As always, you can
