00:27of Catalonia's semi-autonomous powers. Spain has threatened to take direct control of
00:31the autonomous region if Puigdemont fails to meet the Thursday cut-off. Spain's government
00:36says it would be willing to hold off on doing that if the Catalan government were to call
00:40a snap regional election, but a Catalan official has ruled that out.
