00:00I'm ready to do things which maybe I'm not eager to do with him because he has a strange

00:11way of narrating a story.

00:14It's a craft.

00:15You know, he leaves a space for you to form your own story.

00:18He allows me to experiment.

00:20This is the first time I did, I've never done this in my life, that I never used to read

00:26the scenes before I go on the set.

00:28I was concerned about the musicality of it.

00:33I used to have some earphones in me when I was playing the scenes.

00:39So this is the kind of experimentation you can do intellectually, emotionally.

00:42You can experiment with him.

00:43You can play with him.

00:46And that's what fascinates me with Anup Singh.

00:48And that's why I did it.

00:49Trigger debates, for sure.

00:51And make people aware a little bit.

00:53That's it.

00:54Cinema doesn't have a power to really change the society or change people's minds.

00:58Our society is a sexually suppressed society.

01:01And on the other hand, you have this onslaught of, you know, on the internet you have so

01:07much openness.

01:08So people don't know what to do with their sexuality.

01:12They still see women as an object.

01:15And that needs to be changed.

01:17And that can only change when you make the society a little bit more flexible.

01:24Let people meet and interact and, you know, understand the significance or the importance

01:32of a woman.

01:34You are not complete without a woman, or a woman is not complete without a man.

01:37And that needs to be understood.

01:39You cannot compare these two genders and say that this is the stronger one, this is the

01:44weaker one.

01:45No, they have their own speciality, they have their own magic to it.

01:49And they are only complete when they come together.

01:52People won't like this, that, you know, what I'm saying, but I'm telling you these crimes

01:56are going to become more and more intense because of this dichotomy of sexually suppressed

02:02society.

02:03And on the other hand, you have so much of access to porn and things where the sex is

02:10more like, you know, it's a mechanical sex you are being forced to watch.

02:17And you don't understand the spiritual side of it.
