Speak No Evil, one of the scariest films of 2022, is being remade for Hollywood by James Watkins, the director behind The Woman in Black. This psychological thriller, which originally shocked audiences in its Danish version by Christian Tafdrup, promises to be just as terrifying and unnerving in its new iteration.

The premise seems simple enough: a holiday that turns into a nightmare. When a family of three visits the home of a couple they befriended while on vacation, things initially appear friendly and comfortable. But as the visit progresses, the atmosphere shifts from awkward to downright chilling. The tension between the two families builds to a breaking point, leaving you on the edge of your seat, wondering which red flags would have been enough to make you flee.

With an atmosphere of dread that slowly intensifies, Speak No Evil explores the disturbing consequences of politeness and the discomfort of social situations that escalate into horror. The film will keep you questioning your own boundaries—and whether you'd recognize the danger in time.

Starring: James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Aisling Franciosi, Alix West Lefler, Dan Hough, and Scoot McNairy.
