00:08Bollywood star Salman Khan was convicted today of poaching rare deer in a wildlife preserve
00:12and sentenced to five years in jail. The actor contends he did not shoot the two blackbuck
00:17deer in Western India preserve in 1998 and was acquitted in related cases. Khan was in
00:23court for the ruling in the western city of Jodhpur and can appeal the conviction in a
00:27higher court.
00:29Four other Bollywood stars also accused in the case, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu
00:34and Neelum were acquitted. They were in the same jeep that Salman Khan was believed to
00:38be driving during the hunt.
00:40The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has announced a four dirhams per hour round-the-clock
00:44parking fee in Alkhil Gate community. Residents, however, said the parking fee does not guarantee
00:50enough parking spaces for their cars.
00:53Fed up of lack of parking spaces and fines for parking violations, the residents also
00:57sought free parking for at least one car per apartment after the tariff was announced.
