00:00We just want to talk here about the Iftar party that's going to be held today and it
00:12is basically to prove that it's all, all humanity is one, we are all different religions but
00:18they're all different roads to leading to the same place and this is the point we're
00:23trying to prove here by showing we're giving gifts to everybody who's coming, small tokens
00:28which represent the same thought because just like the ayat in Islam which says
00:35we have the same thing which starts, even our Guru Granth Sahib starts with a similar stanza
00:42which means God is one, he is truth and he is all-bearing, I mean there's no,
00:48he doesn't belong to the cycle of birth and rebirth and that those kind of similar thoughts
00:53are there so which is what we're going to be giving everyone along with the mug which represents,
00:58which has the photographs of the Gurdwara, just a sign of goodwill and trying to show brotherhood
01:04and interfaith and we really appreciate the people who take out their time and will come
01:09and do their, break their fast here and do their namaz here, it is so very kind of them
01:14and we really appreciate that and this is the best way to show brotherhood.
01:19We are in the sixth year of our Gurdwara in Dubai and every year we do an iftar for our Muslim
01:25brothers and sisters and we welcome them all very heartily because this is part of the Sikh ethos
01:31is to serve people and we every day serve over 1500 people and on Fridays being a holiday we
01:38serve over 15,000 people. Our Gurdwara's only purpose is to serve and we are happy to serve
01:44and this is part of our Sikh ethos. We are looking for approximately more than 100 people
01:48guests today apart from the local people whatever the Sangat we get in our Gurdwara
01:52because being another Monday is a working day that's all the thing is like on a Friday we
01:57have a big number there in Gurdwara, we get approximately between 10 to 15,000 people here
02:02on a Friday and we cook on a Friday approximately around 700 kgs of rice and
02:096 to 700 kgs of lentils are being used and 1200 to 1500 kgs of flour is being used on
02:17only on a Friday because we get people from all walks of life in the Gurdwara side and believe
02:23me like the people we get people from 46 religions here and people all religion people are welcomed
02:32here this is a place of humanity one because we believe that humanity is the first religion
02:39and we all religions tell you to be good human being. Today's menu is like in a starters we have
02:45some spring rolls some samosas and some paneer tikkas are there and apart from that we have
02:52like four to five types of our salad become the hummus and fattoush salad like then we have
03:00chickpea salad then we have one more baba hummus
03:07then we are in the main course we have a veg biryani, dal bukhara, kurkuri bhindi and
03:15one shaman is there and plus in the desserts we have gajar halwa and gajar halwa and rasmalai is
03:23there and plus the kheer. We are doing the preparation since morning because the little
03:28work has to be started on the morning actually from marination of the paneer tikka we have to
03:32do from since morning only because we need four hours to five hours for after marination we can cook.
