00:00For me, as an artist, I'm very flexible.
00:05I usually, especially if it's just backing tracks or minus ones for the music, I usually
00:11adjust to what I feel is the audience would more enjoy with, but at the same time, I also
00:17try to consider me as a performer, like the songs that I feel like they would also enjoy.
00:22So it's a mix.
00:23Like for me, it's a mix.
00:24I think different places have different audiences and different preferences, and I know that
00:31we can adjust accordingly, but at the same time, without really sacrificing the show
00:37and nothing, you know, changing it too much that it loses the whole flow and the essence
00:42of the whole show.
00:43My latest single under Star Music, it's entitled Paraginip, and I feel like for all of the
00:49songs that I've recorded in the past with Star Music, this is the most fun one because
00:54it really reflects my age.
00:57For some people, the balance, they think, if you're saying balance, you're a more mature
01:01person.
01:02So when I was like back in, when I was 17, people thought I was like 25 because of my
01:07singing style, but with this song, I felt like it's more youthful, more vibrant, more
01:11fun.
01:12So I hope that the fans who've been always, who've always been looking out for my music
01:17will also enjoy this one.
01:18I'm actually working on an album at the moment.
01:22I hope to be releasing maybe a single or two this year before, leading up to the album.
01:28I'm working on a movie right now with Yassie, Marco, and Luis de los Reyes, should be out
01:35by this year.
01:36Based on experience, I think it's not always about winning, but coming from the competition
01:41that I joined, and I really did win it, but I felt like I didn't want to stop there.
01:47It's just a matter of not giving up and just believing in yourself.
01:50Of course, never to forget the people who've always been there for you from the very start.
01:54All your mentors, your family, it's very essential for you, of course.
01:58Lots of people.
01:59All at the right time.
02:00I think we both can say that we can't discredit singing competitions and singing contests
02:05because we are products of singing competitions.
02:09Like she said, you know, she has built a whole career regardless whether she won or not.
02:14It's our culture, then, as Filipinos, we like to, we're that good that you can pit people
02:20against each other and have a very difficult decision on who's going to win.
02:24You get to a point in your career or your singing journey wherein it becomes about you
02:31as an artist and your expression more than singing and being the best singer at that
02:38given point in time.
02:39And I think that's what she's saying because she is her own artist now and she can create
02:43anything that she wants.
