00:00I think it's been a good window for them, an important window, one that they had to
00:04get right and I think by and large they seem to have got it right. We obviously haven't
00:08seen a lot of Steinwender and Cartham so far but the initial signs are that they bring
00:15added attributes that Harps need. Steinwender adds pace certainly in defence, he's aggressive.
00:22I think it will take a little bit of time to settle in, you saw that just in the early
00:25stages of his display against St Mung in terms of how he uses the ball and how he reads the
00:32game but I think he's clearly got a lot, he's still young, he's got a lot of good attributes,
00:37decent in the air, strong and aggressive and the pace that we mentioned so he needs all
00:42of those and a decent centre back. Cartham, I liked, I'm intrigued to see where Cartham
00:48plays, I expect him to play on the right side of Harps, he used to play a four man midfield
00:53under Neil Crippsie and I think Cartham will play wide on the right of that as an inverted
00:57wide man, almost like the way Blair Spittle does on the other side, cutting inside onto
01:01his stronger foot because he has left footed Cartham so he'll naturally drift inside the
01:05way Spittle drifts inside onto his favoured right foot on the opposite flank. I liked
01:12the way Cartham picked the ball up on Monday night a couple of times and just drove at
01:16St Mung and drove beyond their midfield and tried to get into an advanced area and slight
01:21passes through. Again, Harps need someone capable of doing that, they haven't had enough
01:27of that for a while now so he's somebody I think who will bring important attributes
01:33to the team. The other two that have already settled in really well, Jamie McArthur, left
01:37sided centre back, has been terrific so far, consistent, somebody who just enjoys defending,
01:44good old fashioned defending, winning headers and tackles. Again, somebody who's fairly
01:48quick and can catch anything, mop up anything that gets in behind the back line. And on
01:55top of that you've got Ailton Kabangu up front who's been a revelation so far. Last couple
02:00of games maybe not quite what he'd been before but he's one of these strikers who's always
02:10in the area and always going to be in the position to score a goal because he's got
02:15that instinct and that's something that you can't coach, he's got the natural finisher's
02:22instinct that you see in strikers like Ali McCoy, John Robertson, I'm not putting Kabangu
02:29in the same bracket as these guys, I'm saying he simply has a similar goal scorer's instinct
02:35and the ability to move into the right positions to finish off a chance. It's one of those
02:41that I think he'll get stronger as time goes on, I think he'll get a bit fitter and sharper
02:46but he's already looking like a really good signing for us.
