00:08The husband of a Pakistani Christian woman at the center of a blasphemy case has criticized
00:13a government deal with Islamists that left her in legal limbo.
00:17Asia Bibi, on death row since 2010 on blasphemy charges, was acquitted by the Supreme Court
00:23on Wednesday and ordered to be set free.
00:26That verdict triggered protests by ultra-conservative Islamists who paralyzed Pakistan for three
00:32days.
00:33The government reached a deal on Friday to end the protests by agreeing to a travel ban
00:38preventing Bibi from leaving the country.
00:40But Bibi's husband, Ashik Masih, told German Deutsche Welle Radio that it was wrong to
00:46set a precedent in which you pile pressure onto the judiciary.
00:50Masih said he has pleaded for asylum from the UK, US or Canada.
