The sequel was announced in 2022, but with DC currently focused on building a new cinematic universe under James Gunn, *Constantine 2* would likely exist as an Elseworlds project—separate from the main continuity.
Despite its 46% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, *Constantine* is regarded as one of the darkest fantasy films of its time, seamlessly blending horror elements under director Francis Lawrence’s vision. Though it took creative liberties with its DC Comics source material, the film delivered a unique mix of stylized action, supernatural intrigue, and character-driven drama, making it a standout cult favorite from the 2000s.
