Daniel Wales looks at the recent results of Leeds United and Bradford City.
Transcript
00:00For Leeds United they faced a trip to Vicarage Road in midweek to face a
00:04Watford side who had recently drawn the Sunderland. Well for Leeds United it was
00:09an emphatic win in the championship away at Watford. 4-0 was the final score
00:14three goals in the first half and one in the second saw the Whites extend their
00:19lead at the top of the championship albeit teams below them do have to catch
00:22up with them on fixtures. Dan James got the ball rolling in the first half with
00:26two goals in the space of eight minutes before Manon Solomon added a third with
00:31ten minutes until halftime and then the second it was Joel Perrault who managed
00:36to get the fourth and set Leeds up for what was a truly stellar victory at
00:40Vicarage Road. Leeds now move on to 69 points in the championship table and
00:45they are well on course to lift the championship trophy and return to the
00:49Premier League via the automatic promotion spots. The only worry for the
00:53Whites now will be that they don't have a drop-off towards the end of the season
00:56in April and May as they did last season when they were right in amongst it along
01:01with the likes of Leicester City and with Ipswich Town as well but they then
01:06dropped off that a lot of bad results ended up in the playoff places despite
01:09getting around the 90 point mark and then of course they got to the playoff
01:13final but then lost against Southampton who are now in Premier League but that
01:17victory for Leeds just shows what sort of a side they are this season they've
01:20got the quality especially in forward areas as well to cause teams an awful
01:25lot of problems some of the some of the wins they're racking up now including
01:28this one at Vicarage Road really highlighting the quality they have in
01:31forward lines and it's not just one or two plays as well it's multiple you've
01:34got Dan James on the score sheet you've got Manuel Soderman, Joel Perrault, Logie Ramazzani
01:38has been getting amongst the goals as well to mention a few others
01:43you've got Matteo Joseph he can he can certainly score obviously Willie Nonto
01:46as well so Leeds have an abundance of talent in forward areas and of course in
01:51defence as well you know keeping a clean sheet against the Watford side who had
01:55done well against all other promotion rivals Sunland early on in the season
02:00just at the weekend in fact 2-2 draw at the City of Light that just shows how
02:05good they've been as well but for Leeds a stellar stellar victory
02:10meanwhile Bradford City were looking to move within the top three of League Two
02:14and into the automatic promotion places in the table as they hosted
02:19Accrington Stanley at Valley Parade in what would be another tough test but one
02:23they were looking to prevail in
02:26yeah it was a tough match really a real grind I think there wasn't a load of
02:34attacking quality on display at both ends for both teams I should say
02:39because there wasn't many opportunities given away I think both teams are
02:44defensively really strong and it would take a moment of pure quality to to win
02:50it tonight and we had that it was a unbelievable shot from Pato I say
02:56unbelievable but he's done it before so I should start believing a bit more
