00:00I will tell you, if we get a season 10, I will 100% do full glam with lashes and wings.
00:05Wow. He'd do that regardless.
00:10The cast of Queer Eye is chatting all about their latest season and taking their joy on the road
00:15with their first ever live tour. Hot off the heels of debuting season nine of their Netflix
00:20feel-good hit, the Fab Five, including Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Karamo Brown, Anthony
00:26and new cast member Jeremiah Brent, chatted with The Hollywood Reporter all about gearing up for
00:31life on the road with their brand new live show, The Fab Five Live, which brings the magic of the
00:37hit Netflix series directly to live audiences. This is not going to be a makeover live show.
00:43We don't want to bastardize the process by giving you a watered down version of a makeover. So
00:47instead we want to kind of make this interactive process where you really get to feel like you're
00:52part of the Fab Five for the evening. We want to show you a side that we don't typically
00:56get to show you on our show, our show of us. We're going to play games and we want it just
01:01to be a night of joy and celebration. So much has happened, especially in the last few weeks
01:06in our country. We just want to remind people that this is a safe space. We get to live
01:10openly, unabashedly and celebrate our joy. And there's one special stop they're really
01:15excited to hit, a live show in LA, which will serve as a fundraiser for the SoCal Fire Fund.
01:21LA.
01:22Yeah. We're coming back to LA, which is really important to a lot of us. I mean, to most of us.
01:26And then we're obviously the, that night we're kind of turning into a benefit to,
01:32for everybody that's been affected by the fires. We're part of the SoCal Fire Fund.
01:36We're going to see a, to really kind of bring a little bit of joy and a little bit of laughter.
01:41I know personally, I've got probably 10 people that I care about and love tremendously that
01:46lost everything. And so we just want to bring them in, make them laugh, remind them about,
01:52you know, the beautiful side of life, given everything they've been through.
01:55Brent is especially excited to hit the road as the interior design expert,
02:00taking over for former cast member, Bobby Burke, as the newest member of the Fab Five.
02:04It's hard every day. That's the wrong.
02:09Sorry about that.
02:10It really felt like coming home in a lot of ways. From the first day we started shooting together,
02:15I always kind of felt like I was part of the community. And I think it was a community that
02:19I didn't really know I needed as much as I did until I met the friends that I have now.
02:23So getting to watch people that you care about and admire, do what they do,
02:27change people's lives, to be a part of what the power that television has when it's used for good,
02:33which is about that connective tissue and love and bringing people together.
02:37It's been transformative for me personally.
02:39Brent isn't the only new addition, with some members of the Fab Five also showing off new
02:44looks. Tan France debuted a new hairdo, ditching his famous salt and pepper coif.
02:50You know, it's not much of a change.
02:55My favorite thing Tan did for me after his haircut is he sent me a little
02:58clipping of his haircut because he knew how much that haircut meant to me.
03:02I will tell you, if we get a season 10, I will 100% do full glam with lashes and wigs.
03:07Wow.
03:08He'd do that regardless.
03:10Queer Eye has been a source of light and positivity,
03:13something the cast notes is important now more than ever.
03:16I feel just so grateful to be able to be on a show like Queer Eye where we have this opportunity to
03:23be a bridge and to be a possibility model of bringing people together.
03:28It's not that we've become jaded, but at least I'll speak for myself. I've become
03:32a lot more comfortable doing this and then to have a reminder that what we do
03:37has value and importance to it, I think it was just really refreshing.
03:41Queer Eye The Fab Five Live kicks off its multi-city tour on February 19th in Philly
03:46with tour stops in New York, Chicago, D.C. and L.A.
