Basic yoga practice that includes meditation, breathing exercise and asana (physical poses) to ease symptoms of both anxiety and depression and improve the quality of your life.

00:00Summer Breathing Pranayama is one of the breathing exercises that you can do when you feel like
00:17having some anxiety attack or panic, when you feel some depression.
00:23So find a comfortable place, anywhere in your house or even in your office to just
00:31find that peace in you and bring yourself into a comfortable seated position, feel the
00:39connections within your body, place your palms on the top of your knees, back straight, spine
00:45straight, then chin parallel to the ground and gently close your eyes.
00:49Just watch your breath with your mind.
00:51Without changing anything, we're just going to breathe, inhale and exhale with equal duration.
00:57We're going to inhale for four and exhale for four and take a moment at the top of your
01:02inhalation to just watch what's happening in there and exhale slowly for four, then
01:08repeat it again.
01:09And when you find comfortable with this practice, you can add a breath retention with every
01:16after inhale.
01:18So you're going to inhale for four, hold the breath for four and breathe out for four.
01:24So inhale for four, just count silently with your mind, then hold your breath for four
01:31and exhale for four.
01:33Do this practice until you feel peace and calmness.

03:46so right after your yoga asana practice you can finish it with some meditation you can do it for one minute or five minutes but just completely relaxing your your mind your body and hopefully that the spirit would come with it so again come into
04:16a comfortable cross-legged position place again your your hands on the top of your knees palm facing up you can use a gaya mudra which is like plantly placing touching the thumb and your index sight slightly and again back straight
04:38chin parallel to the ground or slightly tuck in and gently close your eyes this is the basic meditation where you don't have to do anything but just watch what's happening inside your thought without engaging to anything
04:58you just watch it like you're watching the clouds in the sky you just let it in and let it go
05:05and whenever you mind wandering around bring back your attention to your breath you just follow your
05:13breath and observing what's happening inside your mind you just watch your thought without engaging
05:21yourself into it and just focusing with your breath then shift your attention to the center of
05:28your heart where where all your emotion lies in watch your emotion the same way that you're watching
05:36the sky with a cloud just passing by do not engage with your thoughts just watch it
05:48again let it in and let it go
05:53it would not stay
05:58and just focus your attention to your breath and just understanding what's going on inside
06:06your heart what emotions you have right now right here at this moment
06:15you just breathe in and out and just continue watch what's happening inside here continue to breathe
06:26and just follow your breath
06:28and you'll notice that everything will slow down
06:40then you'll find that peace and calmness within you
