00:00How are you? I'm very well, thanks. The orange is beautiful.
00:02Oh, thank you. You look so stunning. Oh, thank you. That's very kind.
00:05I have to say, watching you hold Chiwetel and Leo's hands,
00:09your co-stars, it really speaks to your leadership and the bond you all have on set.
00:14Oh, that's really kind. Thank you. It's not hard to be friends with those guys, you know.
00:18They're so lovely, so talented. I'm real lucky.
00:22Well, they're lucky, too. This movie is so good. Bridget Jones, for me, is just
00:26like a warm hug. Oh, for me, too. I love that description. That's really nice.
00:31Talk to me about how relatable she is, and especially in this movie.
00:35Oh, I just, well, I mean, I just love how inspirational she is, you know.
00:40She's kind of embracing the messiness of life, you know. She kind of gives us
00:44permission
00:45to be our own imperfect selves, because she triumphs anyway, you know.
00:49Just, you know, being her authentic,
00:52imperfect, kind of, you know, quirky,
00:57yeah, wonderful, wonderful self.
01:00So, you and Nicole Kidman starred in Cold Mountain together,
01:03and now you're both in these films that really empower women
01:06to know that they can find love in any new chapter.
01:10So, talk to me how Bridget really finds that in this. Oh, yeah.
01:14Well, I mean, we catch up with her. She's a single mom.
01:17It's not where we expect to find her, you know, from the last film.
01:21And she's grieving, and she's just trying to find her way to new happiness.
01:26And, you know, the kindness and sweetness of a
01:30certain young gentleman doesn't hurt.
01:33Yeah. And Leo, of course, is so handsome and lovely in this role. You two have
01:38great chemistry. Talk to me about your bond.
01:40Oh, you know, we're both a little goofy, so we both laugh really easily.
01:45So, yeah, we had a good time, yeah. It's been almost three years since Jerry Maguire came out.
01:50Yeah, I heard that. Do you still get the coconut cake?
01:54Thank you very much for my coconut cakes. I love my coconut cakes.
02:00Is it time for a sequel? Is it time for the cast to get together?
02:03Oh, wow. Wow. Oh, that's a good Cameron Crowe question, Cameron.
02:09Would you be down? Would you be open to it?
02:11I mean, a reunion with those guys? Any excuse.
02:15We don't even have to make a movie. We can just get together and eat that cake.
02:19I'll be good with that, too.
02:20Hey, I heard it's delicious. I'm trying to get that cake one day.
02:23It looks good. The cake's good.
02:25Finally, I have a little throwback for you of your Oscar wins.
02:30The Oscars are around the corner.
02:32Oh, wow. Yeah, look at that.
02:34But just post Bridget, too, right there.
02:36Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
02:38Those were fun days. Fun days.
02:40What are your memories? Dresses. Pretty dresses.
02:42Pretty dresses. Great friends and celebrating something that meant a lot to me
02:48in both of those moments.
02:49And that's just sort of like, I don't know,
02:52representation of what everybody did together.
02:55You know, our team.
02:57Such a special moment. Yeah.
02:59Yeah. Especially the first one.
03:00Yeah. Well, yeah, for sure. Of course.
03:03Thank you, Renee. This is so good.
03:05You're fabulous in this. Enjoy tonight.
