Woman shakes juice bottle and it explodes in her hands

Jessica Monson, 26, was left drenched after a juice bottle exploded in her hands when she followed instructions to shake before opening.

The glass Pharmanex g3 bottle broke at the bottom, spilling its contents across her kitchen and onto her young daughter.

Shocked but uninjured, she later learned the explosion was caused by cavitation, where built-up pressure led to the glass shattering.

Jessica, a stay-at-home mum from Utah, said she had no idea this could happen but was relieved no one was hurt.
