00:00Travis Kelsey, who was seemed a little despondent, sad, depressed, if you will,
00:07on his new heights podcast, talking about his future in the NFL.
00:11Right now, I'm just kicking everything down the road. I'm kicking every can I can down the road,
00:16and I'm not making any crazy decisions. But I right now the biggest thing is just being there
00:23for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding, you know, that there's a lot that
00:28goes into this thing. You know, I've been fortunate over the past five, six years,
00:32I've played more football than anybody. Yeah. And it's because the people that are in that
00:37building, the fact that we keep going to these AFC championships and these Super Bowls, and
00:41that means I'm playing an extra three games more than everybody else in the entire league. And
00:47that's a lot of wear and tear on your body. And it's a lot of time spent in the building,
00:51focusing on your craft, focusing on the task at hand, every challenge that you set up for yourself.
00:57And it's that process can be grueling. He is such an empty vessel.
01:07I didn't love this podcast, if I'm being honest, it was just he was talking like somebody had died
01:12basically the entire time. And I've never won a Super Bowl, I've never lost a Super Bowl. But
01:18when you are Travis Kelsey, and you've beaten your brother who you're talking to in a Super Bowl,
01:23it just felt a little bit overplayed of how, oh, woe is me, I have to be there for my teammates.
01:30Like your teammates are all going to Costa Rica and Hawaii and enjoying their off season. Now,
01:36I don't think that you guys are having huddles, you know, at a local Chili's to talk about the
01:41loss. What was the challenge that he set for himself when it came to the Super Bowl having
01:45zero impact on the game whatsoever? At any point? Yeah, I thought this was like, I thought this was
01:50a very honest answer. Like you guys are like ripping it like he's clearly tired. Like this guy
01:56has played a lot of football over the last five, six years like this. This guy sounds like a guy
02:02who has a lot of wear and tear on his body. I'm not talking about this answer in specific. But
02:06if you listen to the entire podcast, that's his tone the entire time. And everything is just like,
02:11woe is me need to be there for my teammates. Here's my question to everybody. He didn't
02:16seem like he wanted to address these things. It's his podcast. Why does he wait a week?
