00:00We have to continue affirming the conditions of Dominicans,
00:04doing all the effort within our reach
00:08to revitalize all the cultural elements that are needed to exalt Dominicans.
00:14Coming here to the Altar of the Fatherland,
00:16apart from being a constitutional commitment,
00:19I think it is a work of every citizen,
00:21to externalize the most important elements that it has,
00:25the values that make it special, that make it unique,
00:29and that also includes highlighting all those patriotic elements
00:35around such an important and emblematic date
00:38for the history of the Dominican people and their independence.
00:41Therefore, from the Ministry of Culture,
00:43we will continue to accompany President Luis Abinader
00:45in this policy of defending the territory,
00:48of stimulating actions that go in favor of Dominicans
00:53and of revitalizing that cultural identity,
00:56that Dominican identity that makes us strong
00:59and that is a fundamental element for the preservation
01:02of the essential values of the Dominican people.
01:05There is a need that has been externalized by various sectors,
01:08and that is the issue of having cultural centers
01:11and schools of cultural education in the different localities of the country.
01:15We are currently developing a great national uprising
01:18on cultural infrastructure.
01:20We started last week visiting Santiago, Santo Domingo Oeste, Puerto Plata.
01:24Today I will make a tour of the Dominican capital,
01:27in some places where there is a close link with the Ministry of Culture.
01:30And tomorrow we start a route through the south, San Juan.
01:33On Saturday we will be in Azo, in Baní.
01:35Continuing with that uprising that will allow us to be sure
01:40of what the state is, the situation of that cultural infrastructure
01:44and that allows us, the design of public policies
01:47that tend to strengthen artistic formation, creativity,
01:50and that we can democratize culture in the entire territory of the Dominican Republic.
01:55In addition to strengthening culture in the country,
01:58what other priority actions do you plan to develop?
02:01Well, we have to drive the orange economy,
02:04we have to stimulate the cultural industries,
02:07so that through their action, at the level of the territories,
02:10this can be translated into social and economic freedom,
02:13generate mobility through the industry.
02:16There is a lot that can be done.
02:18And from the ministry we will be stimulating, with creativity,
02:21with innovation, with technology, so that this is possible.
02:24Can you tell the filmmakers of the country with a greater support
02:27than they have had so far?
