00:13It's the upcoming freaking Smurfs movie!
00:16Why is nobody clapping?
00:17This new trailer came out recently for the Smurfs movie.
00:19You may have seen it if you are 7 or 77 years old.
00:22It's a movie slated for this year, 2025, and if I'm being honest, no one asked for this.
00:27It's so hated and unasked for that I've seen quote tweets saying,
00:30stop making these movies, nobody gives a single F about the Smurfs, just let it die!
00:35Hey, at Meltdown For Real, I'll have you know I own every Papa Smurf collectible ever,
00:39I have a shrine and I worship it every night, so back off, okay?
00:41There are Smurfs fans.
00:42Just kidding.
00:43If I'm being honest, these are the least interesting blue characters ever in the modern day.
00:46I think more people are excited for Avatar 7 than they are Smurfs 2025.
00:50I'd be more excited for the return of Dory than I am these little blue freaks, but here we are.
00:54The real meme to come out of this, though, isn't just the movie itself.
00:56It's actually a new character in the Smurfs universe.
00:58It's the introduction of the Influencer Smurf.
01:01Possibly the most terrifying combination of two English words ever,
01:04the Influencer Smurf was introduced in the trailer that dropped on February 6th on YouTube.
01:08In this trailer, Smurfette, who is voiced by Rihanna, who is my queen by the way,
01:11Rihanna is underrated, she's the only thing that kept me sentient on the
01:13middle school school bus ride to school.
01:14Anyway, in this trailer, she leads the Smurfs on a mission to save Papa Smurf,
01:18and at roughly 30 seconds into this beautiful work of art,
01:20she introduces Influencer Smurf, who I'm not joking, says out loud,

01:25Who needed this? Did we really need this as a society?
01:28You just know they're gonna release a YouTube video by Influencer Smurf,
01:30and it's gonna be world-damaging.
01:32There's gonna be a five-minute Influencer Smurf scene where he
01:34bottles up Smurf bathwater to sell to his Smurfy fans page.
01:37Anyway, everybody hated that.
01:38Twitter sounded off the we-don't-like-this alarms,
01:41blaring to the world the overwhelmingly negative response,
01:43joking about how Influencer Smurf has been cancelled for various made-up controversies,
01:47which is a pretty good bit.
01:48Maybe in the movie, Influencer Smurf has an underground dog-fighting ring like Michael Vick,
01:52or maybe his new line of makeup products are laced with lead,
01:54or maybe he does a video of Shane Dawson's dog, who knows,
01:57but the internet got up to some hijinks with this idea.

02:07Other users started drawing the Smurf as various YouTubers,
02:09most notably making fun of the Colleen Ballinger ukulele apology video,
02:12where they redrew the entire frame, which is honestly a little too good.
02:15Influencer Smurf situation is crazy.
02:17Honestly, Charlie should just paint himself blue and make this exact video,
02:20if he hasn't already.
02:21The Smurf is a bunch of poopy buttholes.
02:22Some people even put Influencer Smurf into horrendous situations,
02:25like the PewDiePie bridge.
02:27What a f***ing Smurfer.
02:28Or throwing him onto these copy and paste YouTube drama YouTube channels,
02:31like this one that says,
02:32The Influencer Smurf who had an obsession with Smurfette,
02:34to the tune of 52 million views.
02:36If this was 2017, we'd probably get an iDubbbzTV content cop on this freaking Smurf,
02:40and Killer Keemstar and Scarce and all those commentary channels
02:43would be making 30 videos about his monstrous online events.
02:45But here we are.
02:46Influencer Smurf exists, and he wants you to smash that subscribe button.
