00:20Upon arriving at Rome's Gemelli Hospital after conducting his morning audiences, Francis

00:25was reported to be calm, in good spirits, and had read some newspapers, as stated by

00:31Vatican spokesperson Matteo Bruni. An evening update from the Vatican indicated that initial

00:38tests confirmed a respiratory tract infection, a mild fever, and that he was in a fair condition

00:45while receiving drug therapy at Gemelli.

00:49Francis had been experiencing breathing difficulties and was diagnosed with bronchitis on February

00:556 and yet continued to hold daily audiences from his Vatican hotel suite. He led an outdoor

01:02mass on Sunday and attended a general audience on Wednesday.
